Overall, I’m happy with this Murphy bed. It functions well, provides plenty of storage, and has a clean, modern look that I personally prefer. The biggest challenge was the assembly process. The instructions state that the bed must be attached to a brick wall, which seems unrealistic for many homeowners. In our case, we had standard drywall with wood studs. The wall-mounting brackets also offer virtually no adjustability, so your measurements need to be exact with very little room for error. Because our wall studs did not line up exactly with the bracket locations, we had to install two pieces of wood across the back of the unit in order to securely anchor it to the wall studs. Assembly itself was very meticulous. Every piece needed to be positioned precisely, and the project took us a couple of days to complete, although we were not working on it continuously. One of the base cabinet pieces arrived broken. I contacted customer service, and they were responsive and helpful, sending a replacement without issue. However, the replacement took a couple of weeks to arrive, which wasn’t ideal since we were on a tight timeline to get the bed assembled. We ended up using the damaged piece temporarily, which worked but certainly wasn’t the preferred solution. For anyone wondering about mattress fit, a 10-inch mattress fit perfectly. Despite the assembly challenges and damaged part, the finished product looks great, functions well, and provides excellent storage.     • Get a handyman to assemble and install, save yourself a headache if you live alone!

Now that it's assembled and attached to the wall, I'm soooooo glad I got it. The natural wood is so beautiful and elegant. I love the golden handles, the outlets are so helpful on both sides. An important thing to mention is that it was not easy to even bring to my apartment, I had to get help for that. I also had to hire a local handyman to assemble, he didn't want to be responsible for attaching it to the wall so I had to find another handyman to attach it to the wall, not necessarily following the instructions of the manual but getting the job done. As I said, now that it's installed I love it and my friends love it but what a freaking nightmare it was for me, once I pulled the trigger to hire someone then the anxiety of tackling this project went away. But I had the four large heavy boxes sitting in the living room for three weeks and I kept thinking how in the world am I going to do this. Anyway, if you live alone just hire someone to help assemble and install, save yourself the anxiety I endured because it's worth it! ... show more

It took two of us about 12 hours to get this put together and we put extra bolts to secure the bed more. Once put together it is exactly what I envisioned, one unit for sleeping, clothes and storage.

I’ve always wanted a queen Murphy bed so this checks off that bucket list item for me. All the pieces are sturdy and feel solid. In the instructions there is only an option (and parts) to secure the bed to a concrete wall which is unfortunately not the norm for most customers in the US. I had to buy lag bolts rated at 3000lbs each to secure it to my studs. Likewise the bed was sent with missing parts but the seller / manufacturer was very quick to remedy which I appreciated. Overall I am very happy with how it turned out. If I had to give a suggestion it would be to include additional mounting brackets (as studs are spaced at certain points) and include lag bolts to secure to wood studs). ... show more

I love this Murphy Bed! I have shopped around quite a lot! The price was right, the shipment was quick, no long wait for delivery.
