    • Photo shows Gallery colors but what I received were student grade not Gallery.
I purchased these a few months ago when I first started using oil pastels. At the time, I didn't realize that Mungyo's Gallery Line is a very different quality from their student grade so I did not realize that what I received was not the box shown in the photo but a cheap box of their student grade. Recently I went to Jerry's Artarama locally, where they have Mungyo Gallery oil pastels open stock, and bought some needed colors. That's when I realized that what I received in this set was not Gallery. Gallery colors are wrapped in a totally different paper (with a foil lining), are very soft and of a lovely quality, and cost about $2.50 each. Had I looked carefully at the web photo and compared it to the pastels in the box I received, I would have realized it was a different set and would have immediately returned it. If you purchase this box, when it arrives check to see if each pastel has the word "Gallery" on it. If it does not, if it simply says Mungyo Oil Pastel", you've received very cheap (and really terrible) student grade colors, worth about $5. Note also my review of the Mungyo Gallery wooden box of 72 colors. After finding the real Gallery pastels at Jerry's and really liking them, I decided to get the full box of 72 colors on Amazon. When they arrived the outer cellophane wrapper said "Gallery" but when I removed it, inside were, cheap student grade colors that did not say "Gallery" on any of them. Nice and soft. Box was crushed and several broken. Not worth sending back but company needs a better box and quality control.
