I have three: One per kid. I love these. There’s no wasted space unlike the Bentgo lunchboxes. They also include utensils and places to attach them. These fit perfectly in the Packit freezable kids lunchboxes. The center square is a standard sandwich size, and the rectangle space on the right can fit the Honest juice boxes. ... show more

I sold a set of LunchBots metal bento boxes to buy these instead. I needed something with a hinged lid so I didn’t have to worry about keeping track of lids in the car or on picnics. After considering lots of different brands, i’m glad I went with this one. They are a little heavy, as mentioned in other reviews. I did a comparison and they weigh about as much as a 20 oz. can of Dole pineapple tidbits. So if you’re at home and trying to get an idea of the weight, pick up a can and see what you think- but also consider that that’s the dry weight, so it’ll be heavier once it’s full of food. My kids are 3 and 5 and they can carry them just fine in their backpacks at the zoo. They can be a little tricky to close, but just help your child practice and they’ll get the hang of it quickly. It doesn’t have much of an audible “click” when closed, so sometimes my kids aren’t sure whether or not it’s closed all the way. I love the size and that it fits an entire sandwich in the main compartment. The utensils are a nice addition, but we usually pack sandwiches and finger foods so they likely won’t be used much. With all this said, we’re happy with them! If your main goal is to pack something lightweight, this probably isn’t the best option for you. But if you don’t mind that, it’s perfect! ... show more

I thought I would love this. I picked it for the size and the smart utensil storage. -Biggest draw back was that it was NOT LEAK PROOF. I was annoyed because the fruit juices leaked out into the bag. Although, I think it can handle thick liquids like hummus, yogurt or pudding. -Great quality build and stainless steel utensils are great for both toddler and adults. -Compartments large for big kid/small adult appetite. - you cannot take food tray out to heat food, would be nice for this to be removable and perhaps have a place for a removable cold pack underneath. -I have not tested if the latch is easy to open by toddlers. My LO is 18m and her care providers open it for her. When I do it myself, it seems you do have to put in a little extra effort. This on the other hand also makes it Sturdy and not easy to accidentally unlatch. - cleaning the surfaces is fairly easy but a bit awkward because Of the open book design with the hinges center and two moving top and bottom. Just something to note but not a deal breaker for me. -After a few uses, I realized the combination of the external handle & utensils didn’t make sense. If a place for a removable cold pack were to be added, it would have made it a great stand alone item. The handle is great if you only pack dry goods and don’t need a lunch bag with cold packs. Utensils for non-finger food items such as salad, chicken, spaghetti would need to be kept cooler with ice packs- in which the external handle would just be redundant & takes up space (though little) because it’s will now be in a lunch bag. ( I hope this makes sense) ... show more
