A hit with my grandson who will start kindergarten soon! The dinosaur print is just what he wanted and having a lunch kit, bento box and water bottle with the same look thrilled him. I was a little taken aback by the size of the lunch kit as it is much larger than most others but it does mean that there is space for other items, such as his snack or extra food items that do not fit into bento box. It may be a bit too big for some kids’ backpacks, however. I appreciate the water bottle holder on the side of the lunch kit, but the mesh material is why I took off one star. I have seen too many mesh holders on lunch kits and backpacks that have holes in a very short period of time. It is nice that there is a cord to cinch or loosen as needed to fit around different sizes of water bottles. Also handy is the variety of ways to carry this lunch box. It has a wide handle on the top, a long strap to carry as a side body bag as well as a strap on the back that is likely to slide down over the handle of a kids’ rolling carry on or backpack. Big enough to accommodate the lunchbox and a juice box/extra snack on the inside, then a water bottle in the outside mesh pocket. My elementary schooler loved it and used it for almost a year and a half, and it’s just now starting to come apart. It withstood outdoor picnics, being thrown on the ground during recess, and the occasional dramatic drag across the floor after a rough day. Even when she didn’t properly close her containers after lunch, nothing spilled out into the rest of her backpack, which felt like a small miracle. The inside was easy to wipe clean and even though I cleaned the outside weekly, it kept its vibrant colors. This is my second time purchasing this lunch bag for my daughter, and that says a lot! It’s the only lunch bag that’s made it through an entire school year while still looking great and being fully usable. The material is thick enough to hold up to everyday school use without feeling bulky, and the insulation does a great job keeping her lunch fresh. The zipper is sturdy, smooth, and has never given us any issues, even after daily use. We’ve never had any problems with leaks soaking through the bag, which is a huge plus. It’s super cute, easy to use, fits perfectly in her backpack, and has plenty of room for her lunch, snacks, and a drink.
