Husband's very pleased with this new dust collector for his workshop. He is very seriously into hand-making classic children's wooden toys (mostly cars, trucks & ferry boats) to donate to needy children thru our local foodbank. Woodworking kicks up a ton of wood dust, which of course should not be breathed in. Very happy with this purchase. I don’t have a lot of real estate in my shop, and it does take up some space when paired with shop vac, but it is a great tool and works fantastic.

Taking off one star because of price. I bought the cyclone + boom arm combo and it works well but for the price I wish it included the workbench mount. However just the mount kit is an extra 50 dollars to order from their website for what is essentially a few pieces of PVC pipe and some bushings. Think I'll DIY my own instead. The boom arm works well on the cyclone by itself, but if you want to attach a hose to the end of the boom arm (like for a power sander) the added weight makes the other end that attaches to the cyclone pretty sketchy. So while I don't trust it to use that way, I think the unit will work well for all other applications.

I should have invested in this a long time ago. The difference that this made in the amount of sawdust clean up in my garage was larger. I liked that this machine is easy to install and switch from tool to tool. It is a little big, which wasn’t an issue for my garage, but if you have less space, might need to get creative. I only needed myself to install it which is always a plus when you get a heavy duty tool. It is clearly built well and honestly if you’re thinking about getting it, just do it. Saves you a lot of time.

Let me start by saying that the arm itself works beautifully. Easy assembly, set up, adjustability and plenty of suction. The issue is with the weight of the arm, it topples the whole thing when you extend it away from the base, and if you attach a hose to the end, it gets worse due to the added weight. Which means that you can only use it when the cyclone part is directly attached to the vac. You can't use a hose in between the 2, and your vac can't be too small either (I had both problems). Once again, nothing wrong with the product itself, it works very well. It's the engineering with the weight distribution that I have an issue with.

The American build quality of the mullet third arm, boom and dust control system is immediately evident when assembling the unit. My set up is paired with a rigid 6.5 HP shop vac and I typically use a vacuum bag as a posed to the filter. Suction is strong, and the cyclone separates particles, large and small incredibly well. Emptying the unit is a breeze and even fully extended the third arm boom can be placed precisely where you need dust removal without the unit tipping highly recommended if you need a portable and mobile dust collection system.
