This one works for 2018 MTD Craftsman 42" Riding Lawn Mower. Had purchased a different belt (correct size but different brand) previously that when installed, caused brakes to not function anytime mower put in gear. This correct belt corrected that.

Rugged and perfectly sized replacement belt. However, the procedure to replace it is quite involved. Not for the faint of heart.

    • Worked well, until it didn't
The belt did not last as long as I expected and definitely not as long as my original. While it worked well after the initial replacement, the belt did appear to wear quickly over the last few years. When recently replaced, it showed significant wear and shearing of the sheath.
