The installation bolt holes were not tapped out. I would have sent it back except I needed to get the work done ASAP. I started to tap them out then realized I could just use my old housing. Changed the gears out and it worked.

The motor head fit my weed eater very well and when I turned on the weed eater it performed very good, I will be able to use the weed eater for a very long time. if you need a motor head for your weed eater I highly recommend.

i ordered hoping it was the same part as MTD 753-06124, it is except the output shaft bolt is 1/2 inch shorter, for $10 less and next delivery it better then the MTD 753-08122. didn't come with the 3 screws not pictured but no big deal.
