  • Cures faster than StoneCoat and others, but appears to be good.
I never poured epoxy before, but I am done a MASSIVE amount of research on this, so I offer this review and some tips based on some fo the criticisms of this epoxy I have seen. I bought this to do 2 countertop pours. I ended up buying 4 gallons, because I am going to do an end table later. I haven't done the countertop pours yet, but did little test pours on 2 small peices of plywood. They came out quite nice. I did not watch them closely because my primary purpose was to test pour to make sure they would cure and to know how long before I take off edge tape to fully coat the sides. I tested them because these have a 20 to 30 minute gel time. That seems faster than StoneCoat and others. Alsom the maxc pour depth is 1/4 inch, so that's good for a countertop, but not if you have a 'river' type table or more depth to fill. Cures faster, so you have less working time, and since you are only recommended to do 1/2 gallon mixes at a time, to do a full countertop, you have to mix and prep multiple 1/2 gallon buckets. Mix them all at the same time and pur them all together, due to the fast gel time. You have to get your edge tape off sooner so you can smooth it out and allow it to level before it gels too much. I am going to have to do my pour, customize the look, and pull the tape off in 10 min total. That's what I will do in a 65 degree room. WATCH LEGGARI AND STONECOAT VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE. Make sure you torch the epoxy to get bubbles out. Heating will speed cure time but also will help the epoxy level out. You have to smear bare spots to remove surface tension so the epoxy will flow and fill properly. You have to calculate and pour enough epoxy. You have to work fast if pouring a countertop. Make sure you mix the epoxy for 3 or 4 minutes, and do not skip this step or cut it short. It will not harden if you do not mix it right. If you want an opaque (not clear at all) look, make sure to use enough ink or dye or mica. Remember that you should wait 24-72 hours for the intial hardening, and that it will harden more over the next 28 days. I do not plan to keeping anything on the countertops until at least 14 days after the pour. Plan on being present at the pour for an hour or more. Look at your epoxy continuously for the first 20 minutes after you finish the pour, and torch the epoxy and pay atttention to your edges. Fix any mistakes as soon as possible. This usually just means taking out any debris and smearing the colors. If you catch them early, they meld together and look nice. Go over your tabletop pour every 5 minutes to torch or fix any bubble or drips. You can mix a little more to coat your tabletop sides or use the extra in your bucket to do so, which is better because the extra from the bucks is already thicker and will stick better. Use your gloved fingers or a paintbrush. Make sure you have a roll of paper towels to wipe your glvoed hands so you do not get epoxy all over your torch or heatgun, etc. Make sure you tape everything off including your floor and cabinets so the drips are contained. COnsider whether you want white countertops where there is any sun. All epoxy yellows over time, especailly if out in the sun. Consider a more intricate color to hide yellowing and any inperfections, which are always a possiblity. A complex deisng makes little screw ups hard to see. If you think the project through, I think you will be in good shape. I will update theis review adnfter my countertop pours, and then again after a few months of use, to address whether the surfaces are hard enough for light use in a laundry room. ... show more

  • The price is right.
I've had good luck with this epoxy. I've tried other epoxy, and come back to this one. It's clear, after 2 years. The main thing is to get it mixed good.

  • Epoxy resin for crafts
I bought this epoxy resin for my craft projects and, overall, I'm quite satisfied. The mix is easy to prepare and the finish is very glossy and clear, just as I expected. I liked that it dries without bubbles if applied carefully and leaves a professional look. The only thing is that the drying time was a little longer than indicated on the packaging, but other than that, the final result was worth it. I would definitely buy it again for my next projects. ... show more

  • The only resin I use
Color: 32 OZ
This is the only resin I will use for my fresh flower resin pieces. I am entrusted with a bridal bouquet and this resin is so good that it doesn’t heat up and cook the white delicate flowers that I dried in silica gel. This has zero smell and cures in about 24 hours. It is self leveling and great for zero bubbles. This is the only stuff I’ll use. ... show more

  • Crystal Clear
I love this epoxy. It is crystal clear and does not have a lot of bubbles. This product was very easy to work with on my project. Mixing was easy as it is a 1:1 ratio. No loud odor and it drys/sets in 12 hours. The quality is well worth the cost because with epoxy you get what you pay for.

  • I hope it cures fully! If it does then it’s perfect
Right now I’m at 24 hours and my pieces are still very flexible! I’m hoping they harden up because this isn’t my first rodeo with resin! I try new things often! The positives are it had a lot of bubbles when stirring BUT it did degas itself very well! I mean the bubbles were popping and it almost looked like soda pop 😂 that’s how fast it was degassing it looked carbonated! It’s pretty clear! It seems beautiful my only concern is the long cure time on it! So with that being said I ordered the 4 hour (.which i accidentally ordered the regular anyway) I have hopes for the four hour and I will review it! I’m not sure on smell because I wear a respirator! I don’t stand around and smell resin 😂 here’s hoping to full hard cure UPDATE!! My curing room was only 65 degrees and this cures between 70 and 85 and it did fully cure and is hard as rock but that four hour of theirs is 🔥 ... show more

  • DOES NOT WORK ON TUMBLERS
The media could not be loaded. I bought the MTBJZJ epoxy for my tumblers. Thought I would give this brand a try. MY mistake!! This is my busiest time of year, with Christmas orders. I now have 18 messed up cups, that I've been trying to get out for 3 weeks!! This epoxy keeps separating on the cups, as seen in the video. They all have a different base coats, been washed with Dawn dish soap, washed with Alcohol, nothing works! The cups have to be sanded between each layer of epoxy! Even with that; It will not smooth out! The next layer does the same thing again in the video. Tried different methods of mixing epoxy, to no prevail. Amazon is replacing the kit, to see if this is just a bad kit I got. This is sold by MTBJZJ themselves. I have contacted them as well, to see if there is some different method to this epoxy. They claim they didn't sell it on Amazon. But they do have a thicker epoxy made for tumblers they would sell me to test. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THIS EPOXY LIKE I HAVE FOR 3 WEEKS! And just now getting an email back from the maker of MTBJZJ epoxy, saying this is not for tumblers. ... show more
