I've been looking to upgrade from the last laptop that I got 5 years ago. After a cursory, but detailed search I decided to give the E16 Flip a try. I was worried it was halfway to vaporware since I couldn't find any actual reviews about it outside of the announcement-related ones but lo and behold, I had one delivered to my door. I haven't had time to fully test it as I'm powering through grad school, but from the outset it is an absolute pleasure to use. The display is beautiful, the keyboard is decent, trackpad is smooth, and speakers are rich if a bit underpowered. I'm really looking forward to trying to use it with Photoshop and Premiere and seeing how the MSI Pen stacks up and how well it can process. Will update once I get around to it. That being said, I do just want to say that the battery is decent, but doesn't last anywhere near what some reviews said. With battery saver, it probably was on its way to about 6-7 hours just on browsing use. Not terrible, but something to keep in mind. ... show more

I tried running basic Adobe software on this laptop and the computer quickly overheated to the point that it has altered the shape of the computer frame and the center of the computer has sunken in. I only use this computer as a travel computer and it was a quick disappointment. The touchscreen only works half of the time and the drawing with the pen is a joke. Save your money and get a Cintique hooked up to an actual laptop. ... show more

I've used my MSI Summit Flip 16" now for six months. I waited to write a review until I used it awhile since this is my first MSI purchase. I am not disappointed. It is a powerhouse and works as advertised. This laptop will overcharge/overheat & stop working for almost a day every time I forget to unplug it after charging… I was outside of the retun policy when I realized this. Also, MSI support is not helpful. Now the charging adapter only works if I adjust the cord to a certain angle…very disappointing ... show more

    • Defective computer and Westlake is charging 50% restocking fee.
Purchased this computer in advance of Christmas for my daughter. Computer is faulty (screen is faulty, computer crashes or blacks out). Because we are outside of the 30 day period, Westlake will charge a 50% restocking fee on a defective computer. Never buying from Westlake again.
