  • My new favorite motherboard
I bought this motherboard a few months back to build a new computer. I remember experiencing so many problems with my old asrock motherboard, however, I found myself in the same position as last time; on a budget with only the motherboard left to choose. With hesitation I bought this motherboard hoping that it wouldn't cause me similar issues. To my surprise, this motherboard works perfectly (it even supports high speed ddr5 ram)! It was easy to setup, I cannot say much about their software however, because most of the modules do not work for my computer (such as customizing LEDs inside my computer). Overall, pretty great motherboard, I have, and will keep recommending MSI to my friends whenever they ask about parts. ... show more

  • Great mobo
This is my first build in almost 10 years so diving back into the specs of mobos was challenging. I picked this based on overall specs and reviews as well as price point. Also picked this as it is up to 14th gen ready. if you are looking for a sturdy mobo that will give you the potential to upgrade well into the future this is a great point. I started with a 12th gen i7 as I was in a bind since my old rig died and needed to build quickly. the 12th gen i7 was the only one that would come next day all others were several days out. so this board fit the bill to ensure I had a great build and I can upgrade it later too. ... show more

  • Excellent MSI z790-s motherboard
This board has been working perfectly with no issues since I built the PC several months ago. It is a gaming PC and handles a lot of game play. No issues and very nice BIOS option for unlocked CPU's.

  • WiFi is meh, but the board is great.
Board was 14th Gen ready out of the box for me. My 14700k works very well. BIOS layout is decent, handles XMP just fine. The WiFi card is cheap, the included antennae are mediocre. My signal with the WiFi in general is definitely mediocre, a dedicated PCI-E card will perform much better. For anyone like me that's wondering in the future, the bottom M.2 is the 'Drive 0' ... show more

  • Interesting board.
Solid board, but note that the WIFI card is a PCI-E card like in a laptop. Also, there is no internal USB-C header.

  • Great Motherboard with good features
The media could not be loaded. Built this for one for myself. Nice packaging, supports everything I needed such as a 4090 and a i9-14900KS in a HYTE Y60 case. Supports integrated graphics video with a HDMI or DP port. Ran undervolting and overclocking perfectly the BIOS is easy to navigate. So far no issues and it has been a great motherboard at a great price. I love it! ... show more

  • Excellent - no fiddling like all the other boards I bought
Went through like 3 different LGA 1700 motherboards and all had issues: no sdif - won’t accept SATA m.2’s - wont register any graphics card - won’t run ddr4 2400mhz but would run every other speed ram so I would have needed to buy new ram This board has NONE of those problems, decided to go with ddr5 and it is excellent. All the bells and whistles you need with no hidden “catch” ... show more

  • DONT BUY USED. Motherboard Was Shipped Damaged and Parts Missing
Bought Used through Amazon Fulfillment, which supposedly tested the product and ensured functional. First thing I noticed was the WiFi bracket and antenna were missing. Then looking at the motherboard I saw two CPU connector pins were odd looking. Sure enough, only 1 of 4 RAM sockets will boot when using a single stick of RAM. I used MemTest 86 to test my CPU and RAM, no faults. Take the CPU off and bend the 2 damaged pins back into place. RAM now boots in all slots and can run 2 sticks. In summary, Amazon shipped this product in INCOMPLETE and INOPERABLE condition. Buy new, or use a reseller that specializes in tech. Motherboard seems ok otherwise. For some reason the M2 heatsink is on the 2nd slot instead of the first. And one of the fan connectors is at the bottom of the board. Make sure your fan cable is long enough. The BIOS is robust and easy enough to navigate, and no issues with the drivers from the manufacturer webpage or with flashing the BIOS. It is pretty good as one of the cheapest overclocking motherboards. ... show more
