Board was 14th Gen ready out of the box for me. My 14700k works very well. BIOS layout is decent, handles XMP just fine. The WiFi card is cheap, the included antennae are mediocre. The media could not be loaded. Built this for one for myself. Nice packaging, supports everything I needed such as a 4090 and a i9-14900KS in a HYTE Y60 case. Supports integrated graphics video with a HDMI or DP port. Ran undervolting and overclocking perfectly the BIOS is easy to navigate.     • Best price I could find on a Z790 board and it is all working properly
The heatsinks arrangement is more minimal than some other boards so your chipset feels hot to the touch on the small heatsink for it but is at 55c usually regardless of task, seems like minimal heatsinks are engineered and are "enough" even though they are less metal and hotter.

Solid board, but note that the WIFI card is a PCI-E card like in a laptop. Also, there is no internal USB-C header.

Motherboard prices have exploded since the last time i’ve upgraded. This board does everything I’d want it to, and at a decent price. I’ve paired it with an Intel i7-12700k and 2 sticks of Corsair 16GB DDR5 ram running at 6000MHz. It’s easy to overclock and adjust bios settings using the MSI software. Haven’t had any issues so far.     • Incomplete manual, awful wifi setup
Wifi card is very easy to break and manual does not include instructions for it. I would avoid in favor or a model without wifi and a pci-e wifi card.
