UPDATE #2 2/21/22: Don't buy MSI. I have been fighting for over a month about how my serial number is not able to be located when using the RMA system. Funny thing is it recognized it enough to put it in it in my registered product owned oh my profile. I just want my money back since I had to buy another (not MSI) liquid cooler. UPDATE1/17/22: So a two weeks ago I started hearing this cracking sound when I started it up like plastic hitting a fan randomly and was unable to pinpoint it. So I dusted out my case thinking something was off balance. This past week I noticed my CPU fans RPMs would start reeving randomly with just opening a webpage, no heavy load and the crackling sound was more often. Sure enough HWMonitor shows CPU temps were unstable and running pretty hot. I could also feel the the vibration with the sound in the hoses leading me to the conclusion the pump is broken. Trying to get a hold of MSI for warranty since I've only had it for 11 months. First time using water cooling in a computer. So far it has been awesome at keeping temps low. So I really liked this cooler. It looks exquisite, and cooled extremely well (at first). My 5800X was idling in the low 30s and at load was in the 60s even in a very warm environment. I built this system and started using it in April 2021. A couple weeks ago I got a random power off. After turning the system back on, I opened up Ryzen Master and watched the temperatures as I used the computer for awhile and they looked fine. Didn't have any problems for another week, when it did it again. Once again temperatures looked fine on startup. I've gotten more power offs in the last few days, again with no obvious cause. I suspected a failing PSU as its one component I kept from my old build. Fast forward to today, I'm getting many power offs. I look at the temperatures and notice they were idling very high, in mid 60s with no programs running. Opening a webpage shoots up to 85 (the max is 95). Just sitting there doing nothing, I watched the temperature continue to rise, until it reached 109 and the system shut off. Seeing this, it dawned on me that the temperatures I'd been seeing when I'd checked previously had been well below the thermal limit, but really were much higher at idle and load than they had been at first, and each time had been steadily rising. It is beginning to overheat faster each time it happens, reaching a point that now I'm not even going to turn it on since it overheats within minutes now instead of hours. I've seen a couple other reviews describe almost this exact behavior and mentioned crud buildup inside of the pump. I'm unsure if it has occurred in mine or if the pump is just dying, but in any case this is not something that should have happen after such a short period of time, if at all. The Corsair in my previous build is still going strong after 5 years. This was an inopportune time as I'm in the middle of writing my final paper for my Masters degree, so I don't have much time to be fiddling with this. Once I am done, I may open it up and see if there is crud. I think I'm going to order a Corsair as a replacement in any case, as I just don't have faith in this product now after my own experiences and the bad reviews I'm seeing. As they require you to pay for return shipping (unfortunately seems common these days), I'm unsure if it will even be worth returning this dud if I don't plan on ever using it. EDIT#1 - Ordered a Corsair H150Pro XT a few days ago but it wont be here until next week. I found that with the side panel of my case off, when I notice the temperature spiking in Ryzen Master, if I reach in and move the intake and output tubes back and forth a few times, the temperature drops quickly. While writing my paper in Office, the temperature climbed from 60 to almost 90. After moving the tubes, the temperature quickly returned to ~65. This seems to support the conclusion that something inside is gummed up and moving it allows it to break free and begin dissipating heat again. EDIT#2 - Today the moving of the tubing trick didn't work, and it began to hover near 88 with just Word open. Looked like whatever blockage was happening couldn't be cleared by the movement anymore. I slapped the top of the case where the radiator was kind of hard, and the temperature in Ryzen Master dropped from 89 to below 50 in about 10 seconds. Definitely seems like there's a lot of buildup inside this unit. New cooler cant come soon enough. EDIT#3 - New cooler came and I installed the H150i Pro XT. My 5800x is idling at 27 degrees now instead if 60 now. MSI cooler has a bunch of gunk in it, and was getting clogged in the pump. Definitely not a good thing. I'll see what their support says but I wont be swapping back. It is unfortunate since I really enjoy the dragon theme, and the fans on the MSI were RGB too, unlike the Corsair. They appear to be better fans though, so am not going to swap them out. ... show more

The fans even at max speed are straight up silent. They installed very easily in my Lian-li po11 Dynamic. I love the look of the fans and the dragon logo over my CPU. For the price you are definitely getting the cooling you are looking for. Under a cinebench multi-core test I couldn't break past 68C. Now I am only using a Ryzen 5 3600x which isn't an insane, but using the AMD CPU cooler the same test got my CPU to 86C. This is quite a drop in temperature in a room that is 25C-30C. The installation was as easy as screwing the radiator and fans down. The CPU cover goes on with two spring-screws with clips on the black plastic attachments that came with my MSI X570 gaming plus motherboard. It can also work with intel and has a different attachment method. If you have a more robust CPU this little one might just work for you in the interim, but if you are pushing past 80C or 90C then maybe a proper liquid cooled-pump setup is what you need. For my purposes this works perfectly as intended and with the desired results. TLDR: Works well for mid-range CPU. RGB is awesome, MSI software is clunky. Love you all shop safely! ... show more

Bought this in August 2021, died December 24th 2021. Didn’t do any kind of extreme tuning except for XMP only to change the frequency of my DRAM. Almost fried my 5950x and my MEG ACE X570 had no capability to warn of its failure other than to shut down my PC to avoid all out failure. No noticeable difference in sound or fan read and only one tube was extremely hot on the pump to the radiator. PSU was an EVGA 1000w G5, and an ASROCK 6900 XT (it fried that though). Buyer beware and as I stated, it isn’t just the 360r with this bad quality, redditors also stated it’s the 240 too. So I’m officially done with MSI now to say the least. Asus Crosshair Dark Hero VIII and Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler. Would not recommend! ... show more
