Okay to start off, I came from a GL75 leopard. This laptop is thin, has a beautiful 300hz screen It is faster packs more power and I absolutely love how it looks. Out of the box I didn't see any scratches dents or anything it looked great, I took the backplate off to add some more memory I was assuming it would have 2 nvme slots and 1 sata slot.. it only had 1 of each bad research on my part. Also the details list I having a 2070 super but is actually a 2070 super max q. When I opened it up it was missing the shielded plastic that goes over the board so if you have the back plate on if you look through the grill you see the exposed board. Besides that I paid $1500 for this laptop I think the value for what I got is great, runs cyberpunk on high to ultra at temps around 74° with 65frames I would buy again ... show more

    • Absolute Powerhouse of a Notebook
I bought this notebook via a freight forwarder (due to amazon not being available in my country), and I have not regretted a thing buying this notebook. - There is some chassis flex, however there was not as much as I thought there would be (from looking at reviews on youtube). I am not sure if MSI reinforced the chassis a little bit but it really isn't that bad. - The 300hz screen on this notebook is beyond buttery smooth, however it does have some color banding (not too much though). - The keyboard is tactile and feels quality (the texture on the key caps also feel pretty nice) - the trackpad is very smooth and nice to use (the slight flex on the chassis when using the notebook on your lap may make the trackpad feel a little awkward to use though. - The 2070 super max q this thing packs is an absolute beast, it handles games like a pro wrestler lifting up a 1 lb dumbbell. - The sleek design gives it a very nice look, and the gold trim around the lid complements the design. - The notebook doesn't get too hot around the keyboard or the palm rest area (however the bottom and the intake near the screen does get toasty). - The hi-res audio DAC allows for nice sound quality through the 3.5mm audio jacks - The laptop is very light, allowing for much portability between places * There is a questionable amount of chassis flex, however it was not as much as I thougt * The trackpad can be accidentally clicked due to the larger size and the questionable positioning. * The edge between the side of the lid and the screen is sharp and I have gotten a papercut-like cut on my index finger * The screen does flex a noticeable amount (about 5-10 degrees off the center point of the screen) * The battery life is slightly lackluster, it would be nice if MSI could put a 90+Wh battery in the notebook * The speakers sound like you are listening to them through a tin can. (however the sound quality does improve a little after updating the drivers) * The audio jacks require a relatively large amount of force to plug in and unplug * The screen doesn't shut all the way when carrying the notebook ... show more

    • it stops working smoothly after a few months
my laptop was prefect for a few months and then the gpu and the cpy started failing, talked to customer service and they said there was nothing theyu could do EVEN that i had prove of my still valid warranty. DO NOT buy msi products, customer service really sucks if you have a problem

    • WiFi driver broken
WiFi driver did not work at all. I tried every possible troubleshooting solution out there but none worked. I believe my unit came with a faulty WiFi card or it was damaged in transit. I did not want to take it apart to check, instead I’m gonna return it.

dont know why someone would buy an rtx 2080 option in this model. i would at least tried "raider" model when trying to deal with an rtx 2080....it will be loud anyway, but temps should be better than inside this thing

When it comes out, I bought in Walmart, there is a pixel green spot in screen. Then I bought one more again in Amazon, the fan noise is so loud, but I never turn on any app.i also try to choose silent in dragon center, it can’t help, So disappointed.
