UPDATE- This laptop handles everything I throw at it! It has burned through 3D modeling, video editing and game developement and has performed absolutely flawlessly. Textures, modeling and even animated scenes in DAZ3D can't make this system bat an eyelash. The GPU hums right along with an external 24" monitor attached via HDMI. The GPU offers a wide range of display display resolutions 1080p to 600x800 and refresh rates from 20htz to 144htz. These options avcommodate a wide variety external monitors, as well as, tvs. CON: BATTERY LIFE! First off, to compensate the power requirements of the massive CPU, GPU and memory for any length of time, the laptop would have to be considerably larger and a lot heavier. That said, when game developing and testing off plug, i get about an hr and its lights out. If youre not paying attention, you only get one warning amd I didnt have time to save! BUT, the laptop went into sleep mode. As soon as I pluged it in and powered it up my project was right there waiting. The laptop also employs an optional charge scheme (min 30%-60%max) to maximize the health of the battery when you anticipate it being pluvged in for long periods. Which works great for me because I use it 99% at my desk. Tbe scheme can easily be switched to normal to allow a full charge of 100% and discharge to 20% (i beiieve?). There is so much to love about this laptop. I absolutely LOVE it and havent been on my PC since the day it arrived. TIPS: 1. Install the MSI Center and afjust the fans to a more aggressive profile. It wont be as quiet, BUT, It will help keep the CPU and GPU cooler so they can take more before they start to get hot. 2. Invest in a good laptop cooler. The reasons are pretty obvious. 3. WINDOWS 11- If the web checker says its not compatible, its wrong. Download the System Checker. It will scan the system, say its compatible and offer you the Win11 upgrade. HAPPY COMPUTING! FYI- I bought this exclusively to develope my Unreal game while away from my PC. First up- Before it was even delivered I found this laptop at my local Costco for 1k cheaper! My first instict was return it for a refund. Smart seller upgraded the stock system. VerifIed thru MSI, originally it comes with a 1tb ssd and 16gb ram. So why didnt I return it? Because oddly enough i recently upgraded a pc and spent nearly 1k on memory and an ssd. So the upgrade is a very good thing plus it has a warrantied installation. Ok, I'll bite the hook. Moving on.. This laptop gets H-O-T, with the factory cooling settings. Its quiet but the aluminum case along the bottom of the monitor, which is raised off of it about 1/8", gets so hot that you cannot hold your hand on it. It doesnt seem to bother the laptop as I saw no signs of weakness or lag. However it bothered ne so i gave the fans a more aggressive curve, which is or course louder. I also put it on a laptop cooler which completely solved the non-issue Lastly, this laptop is FAST! Faster than my PC in opening project files. My main project is 360gb with several levels and lots of shaders. My PC takes about 90seconds. This laptop does it in about half that time. I am super pleased with this system. I am very happy with my purchase, i was contemplating to the the one with 3080 GPC and corei9, it had a bit more ram and a 300 display, but it is worth double(almost 4k with tax), and is kind of an overkill, i bought this cheaper version instead, and i am absolutely satisfied with it, it runs fast and smooth, the screen image is very good and all, maybe it heats up a bit but you can solve with a cooling pad, installing everything I needed was ultra fast, the laptop has 0 lag, everything goes very fast and smooth, i had an MSI GE70 APACHE PRO, and the difference in the GPC card is 500 percent 😂, the best about buying this 2k good value GE76 is that you can easily upgrade the graphic card, core, rams, and SSD in the future if you need it, and you can sell the old parts, I love that laptops come with a nice upgrade potential nowadays. 2k(tax included) is a good price for this laptop.

Pros: Fast. Oh, Did I mention it was fast? Great for Gaming. Can run most if not all games with no issues. Extremely fast boot up. Comes with Xbox Game Pass which is super nice. Cons: It can get hot. I'm talking possibly 90 Celcius but I expected as much, but at least It's not reaching 100 Celcius like my Old Laptop! (Most laptops can handle high temperatures so don't let this review shy you away from buying this monster) I can't think of any other cons off the top of my head.

Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase. I was a bit surprised when I booted it up and it was missing all the standard MSI config software. Not only that, but opening up device manager, there were about half a dozen drivers not properly loaded. I mean, the product description was "MSI GE76 Raider Gaming Laptop Intel Core i7-11800H, GeForce RTX 3060", and the display driver installed was a Basic Microsoft Display Adapter. Not a terribly big deal. I've just had to spend extra time downloading and installing all the correct drivers for the system. It is my only criticism. I would have expected the system to be fully preloaded with the correct drivers and software. Other than that, the machine itself is a powerhouse for the price tag.

I really like this laptop a lot. It performs really well. Only issue I see so far is CPU tends to get very hot when I am running my games on very high and extreme settings. I ended up buying a laptop cooling stand and it does help a lot. I still had to manage my cooling profile to add that extra bit of cooling as well.

It wasn't compatible with some of the programs I use on a daily basis, and no matter how much I researched, I couldn't find a way around it. Ended up sending the computer back. This computer is FAST. I love the rgb lighting on the front. It took about 5 minutes to set up and another 8 minutes to download every Adobe app. 3-4 second load up time is just beyond what I expected to receive. This replaced my HP omen laptop that was a lemon. The display is large, which is good for designing and you can hook up a monitor easily to the hdmi port located on the back and actually extend the screen rather than duplicate. The power plug is located on the back (why arent all?) and it is a usb style power plug so no more round power port that gets loose. This machine is a beast.
