I've had this laptop for a few days and it has exceeded expectations so far, it is quick and will run anything you throw at it, it does great emulating everything from Nintendo to ps4 (make sure you own the game first, don't condone piracy). Running ps3 emulater running dark souls 2 it was only doing 30% on the cpu. Currently very happy with purchase. Will be updating this over the next months so you know if it also lasts. ... show more

BUYERS BEWARE: The laptop is pretty good quality wise! it can run most modern game at decent graphics with high framerates, and the 144hz refresh rate is beautiful. HOWEVER!!!! The exact cpu this laptop comes with has a known bug in the hardware where it'll run itself so hot for so long that it WILL kill itself! I had mine for nearly 8 months before it started to die on me. Intel has made notice of it years ago and refuses to fix it! If you plan on buying this, whether as a gift or a not, you really should consider underclocking it to prevent it from melting itself. Also do get your warrenty with it regardless, just in case! ... show more

    • Overheat and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

I was given a MSI Raider GE68HX with a RTX 4090 in it because MSI lost my previous generation Raider when I had sent it in for RMA support (BIOS issue). The new Raider seemed great, till it started overheating. It's hard to find a Raider GE68HX with a 4090 in it specifically because the chassis will overheat. I have done everything I can, limited CPU and GPU power, max fans, laptop cooling pad/stand, etc. It still overheats. MSI refuses to do anything about it, they essentially stole my good working laptop, replaced it with an "upgrade" that overheats playing the Sims when it should run Cyberpunk perfectly fine. I used to love MSI, their laptops can work great, mine does not. This review is primarily about their customer support. Good luck if you spend your money with them, I will no longer be patronizing MSI. I maintain that is is not just a service related issue as MSI is the one who made a product that cannot cool itself sufficiently. Therefore the product is also the issue. Do not get a raider with anything above a 4080 in it. I recommend staying away from MSI entirely until they get both their customer service and cooling issues under control. ... show more
