Without a doubt the 5080 is a fantastic GPU. It's also massively expensive considering its primary use is for gaming. However, I feel pretty confident in the notion that I won't have to buy a new GPU within the next decade. The market just isn't moving the way it used to and although we probably haven't hit a ceiling yet in terms of advancements in this tech, the jump in progress is changing and seems to have shifted more towards the software side of things. With that in mind I'd recommend anyone looking for a great GPU in the NVidia space to seriously consider the 5070 over the 5080. By all means, if the cost isn't off putting to you then go ahead and buy a 5080 but all in all it really is overkill in terms of hitting the sweet spot with your settings in games. As far as this particular version of the 5080 is concerned, it's a decent model. No flashy lights, thermals are acceptable under load, and while it costs more than the founders edition...it's still on the cheaper side of all the various 5080s on the market. If you do buy it make sure your PSU is adequate and use the provided cables that come with the GPU for power delivery. ... show more

Great upgrade from a 3080 (10GB) Small factor Lightweight Powerful Same wattage (approx.) I'm using my "old" PSU : Asus Strix 750W Gold (2019 version) which has only 2 PCI-e cable with pigtail each and it's working well. (MSI recommends 3 individual PCI-E cables to use the adapter) Maximum watts consumed 344W Aprox in VR forcing extreme resolution. Maximum temps 78°C ( It's summer here, the room is 28-30 degrees when I have the air conditioning off) Using it with my old Ryzen 5 5600X CPU, who makes some bottleneck but in overall, all unplayable games with the 3080 now are running very well at max settings. In some games, the improvement was going from 80 to 144 fps (by limiting it). VR was 200% improved. The only bad thing: 16GB VRAM MS Flight Simulator max settings can go over 18GB (the limit I was able to see) It would be great 24GB VRAM, I was waiting SUPER version but..it will never comes, so I bought this one for 1164USD. ... show more

Besides the price of my first generation PC build, I am wowed what it can do with my LG G5 TV. It was a big shock to buy something at this price but with my hobby of gaming I am floored of what it can do. I never seen colors graphics pop on my TV. My only issue with its name Shadow. It is loud when playing a game that has a heavy load. I wish they design ed the fans a little bit quieter ... show more

La placa funciona increible, puedes jugar todos los juegos en ultra. Lo unico los materiales no se sienten tan premium. mi msi 3080 era casi todo de metal. Esta es todo todo plastico. Lo unico malo esque tardo 1 mes y medio en llegarme pero eso no tiene nada que ver con la placa.

So far so good! A little coil hum when running overclocked but nothing crazy. A little sad manufacturer doesn't include the little Nividia RTX sticker to put on the computer case.

Let's ride. This with a 9950x3d is a dreamy computer. Would have loved the 5090 but the price is redic right now. Runs 4k games with ease. Especially on low latency settings. Build a pc yourself if you have the time!

Maybe something is wrong with mine but it is ludicrously loud, louder than the sound coming out of my speakers. There is no world where this level of noise is acceptable on something that costs this much. Literally just swapped out a 5070ti ASUS Prime which was dead silent, I'm going to have to go back to the 5070ti and return this. ... show more
