*Not a paid endorsement or incentivized in any way* May 12th 2026 This is a fantastic card for 1440p gaming. IMHO is this the best card for this generation of Nvidia GPU’s, in terms of efficiency and pricing. Have been a long time MSi customer (980ti, 1080ti, 3080) and now 5070ti. Have had no issues with the previous cards, expecting the same from this model too. Highlights: Runs very efficiently (250-300w under load) and way less during browsing session. More more importantly, doesn’t overly heat up my room when gaming 😉 Idle temp is 32C and gets to 62C in gaming Auto clocks a little higher and without any modding (~2500mhz+) Be careful reading memory speed with any utility programs. There is actual speed vs effective speed. Actual speed is 1750mhz and effective speed is 1400mhz. Something to do with PAM3/4 signaling timings Has the correct number of ROP’s (96). Check it has the correct number with GPUZ. There was a snafu at launch where it released with incorrect number This one is made in Taiwan and not in China Fans are extremely quiet under load and don’t spin when doing regular browsing etc Price is 20%+ above msrp but that’s because of tariffs and the AI tax and will likely remain that way for next 24-36 months It’s a nice clean appearance with no RGB bling 2.5 slot design. It’s a relatively long card, so make sure it can fit your case before you order it 5070ti is rumored to be going end of life because of current GDDR7 memory shortages. There might be a ‘super’ refresh with more memory down the line before the 60xx launch. But you could be waiting a while and these newer cards will likely be more expensive. MSi has done a really good job with this ‘entry’ level card. Wish the shroud was a little better constructed ie more metal vs plastic. Hopefully it won’t degrade or sag - well done MSi 👏. Only one suggestion - please use Honeywell PTM based thermal pads vs regular non PTM thermal pads (Asus has already done this on their cards). And the card will likely run even cooler Overall: Newer AAA games are pushing past 12gb vram. If the Ti model is past your budget, consider AMD 9070xt. It’s priced cheaper and offers very similar performance but draws almost 100w more power and this will cause more heat to be released into your room. AMD drivers have got better but Nvdia has a better track record in this area. Also consider Nvdia 5070 or AMD 9060 12gb models as they are a good bit cheaper. But keep in mind it’s only a 128 bit bus so maybe challenging in a few years time with newer cards. Would have bought from Amazon but ended up going to the ‘Egg’ because I was able to snag it for $982 (incl taxes). Hopefully Amazon will match soon. Lastly, regardless of which gpu you end up getting. Don’t skimp on the power supply. A little more power than the card is rated for, gives your psu more headroom to breath. A good psu (mine is be beQuiet dark mode) will ensure stable power delivery and lower chances of coil whine too. Make sure you get minimum of Gold certification, Platinum is better but will cost more. Think of the psu as your computers fuel supply. With a $1000 gpu, you want to make sure that fuel is delivered cleanly and efficiently, so it doesn’t cause problems with your system as a whole.
