  • Love It!
Size: RX 5700 XT Style: RX 5700 XT GAMING X
I have had this GPU for 3 weeks now and wanted to write a fair review. I have to say I am super please with my purchase. Great card running titles in either 1440p ultra detail or 2160p med or high detail, and getting stable high framerates. I did have GPU crashing issues the first few days. I ran AMD's clean uninstall tool, it clears out all remnants of previous drivers. Installed clean drivers and uninstalled MSI afterburner. I have thrown every game title I have at this thing and if has been rock steady, no crashes for more than 2 weeks. Hefty, good looking card, I hit MSI for not providing a GPU support bracket. I bought one a week later, as insurance because this card is big and heavy. It oozes quality! To me I saved a nice chunk of dough over the 2070 super. Which are fantastic GPUs. I just did not want to give Nvidia what they want for one. Glad to see some competition from AMD, better for all us gamers! ... show more

  • Great graphics card, nothing not to like!
Size: RX 5700 XT Style: RX 5700 XT MECH OC
The card doesn't run very hot at all really. Ive had no issues with it at all. Drivers installed perfectly, Radeon adrenaline software works great, and I can run most games on high quality with 60 GPS. I average 40-60 fps on Cyberpunk 2077 with Ultra (paired with a Ryzen 5 2600 and 32 gb of G.Skill Aegis RAM). This is an amazing upgrade from an RX 580. Love the card! ... show more

  • Great GPU, but buyer be aware.
Size: RX 5700 XT Style: RX 5700 XT GAMING X
I'm using 20.4.2 drivers as they are the most stable ones (at least for me.) I'm still getting some crashes on specific games like CSGO, Jedi Fallen Order. Other than that, the GPU works like a charm. Can easily push higher frames on 1440p or 1080p 144hz. If you don't mind having to tweak it a bit, as the stock settings are trash, you are good to go. On 20.4.2 I'm missing my saved profile every now and then, that is the only issue that drives me crazy. It is reported to have issues depending on the system you are building, every case is different. Some do not have any issues with it, others like me, have. Keep that in mind as it is a risky buy if you want to leave everything at stock settings. 20.7.2 brokes freesync for me, there is no point for me going to those drivers. ... show more

  • First AMD GPU I've owned and ZERO regrets! AMD Value is wonderful!
Size: RX 5700 XT Style: RX 5700 XT GAMING X
Couldn't be happier, the most taxing games I've got is Metro Exodus, COD Warzone, and Beam NG, all on ultra settings I can hold a solid 100fps on a 1080p@65HZ monitor with V sync off. Turning it on gives a great game play and yes with some work you can in fact Ray Trace within the software but it takes a lot of FPS to achieve it. I wanted a 1440P@120hz card for the future and testing that on my tv with high graphic settings will hold about 85-100 in most areas of the games. Depending on what settings are on you can get it higher but this meets my goals personally as ill be stuck with 1080 for at least the next year. Either way very happy, this 5700XT equates my buddy's 1080TI in the games we play together. I haven't tried overclocking above MSI's settings yet but I'm sure it can be improved even more. This card will get warm, I suggestion changing the fan control settings to keep the fans on and moving air constantly so you don't get a stagnant air pocket around the card or worse...heat-soak. If its hot and you get a sudden demand you can thermal throttle quickly but also shorten the component life. Eventually I may water cool it but top temps I've seen with a custom fan control us like 68*C under load and 34*C at idle, where stock I noticed 80* and idle would hang around 60*. Take some time to adjust and performance will be better. I couldn't imagine the AMD stock blower cooler on this... the dual fan and shroud MSI built is a great design overall, very impressed but make sure you measure your case!!! This is a big boy card!!! Your not gonna fit this in your MATX HP pavilion without hacking the case. ... show more

  • 9/10 card great value but buggy drivers
Size: RX 5700 XT Style: RX 5700 XT GAMING X
This is a great card, wonderful value for the money you pay for it. Unfortunately until AMD finally gets there heads out of you know where and gets the drivers properly functioning you may experience issues. Make sure when you get the card and install the drivers that the fans actually spin as with some versions of the drivers they will not. There are other issues as well that are typical with any new generation of video cards but this is the most concerning. As for the noise level it's not too bad at all. I dont have a noise reduction case and it sits on my desk next to my monitor but unless I'm doing some stupid overclocking its typically not that loud, especially with a custom fan curve Overall this is a great card and well worth the price, you just need to be prepared to deal with very buggy drivers. Invest in NVME because you will be rebooting your PC a lot. ... show more

  • Absolutely Terrible GPU
Size: RX 5700 XT Style: RX 5700 XT MECH OC
The first few days i had this card it ran just fine, not anything like my old Nvidia 1070 but I could run everything in Ultra with no problems whatsoever. Gradually day by day the problems began and got worse. Card is around two weeks old. First it was just running slow. Now the thing crashes and reboots my computer if I play anything more intensive than Terraria. After extensive research, which I should have done in the first place, it looks like the 5700XT is just a god-awful piece of crap in every way. A ton of people having MAJOR problems with the card, not minor. My system is an entirely new build with no incompatibility issues whatsoever. I'm returning this thing and going back to Nvidia instead. The 600 dollar price point really grabbed my attention, especially with all of the Nvidia GPUs being in large excess of 1K. Guess I can see why it's half the price of the other cards. Do not buy. I heard horror stories of driver and hardware issues from AMD left and right and by the Gods they were absolutely right ... show more
