  • Don't know how the more premium cards can be better than this
I have no idea how people complain about the noise from this thing. I got these two fans that run fixed at a silent 800 rpm under it so maybe that's a factor. It's heat sink is a monster so it doesn't turn on the fans unless you're gaming even when you set the bios to "gaming." When it's under load it still isn't as loud as my CPU AIO unload which is set to lower rpms also. Overall I couldn't ever justify paying more another "higher" model 3090ti. Overclocking? Give me a break, you can squeeze out a few more frames for a couple games, half the time it'll make your game unstable, choppy and your case run hot. Better to operate at lower temps and more stable frames. Other points. Its huge and I needed to get creative moving stuff around during install. The power cable 3to1 is a pain to fit into my smaller case too. I came from a 1080ti I was blown away the g-sync actually works well for the 3090ti card. Turning on g sync actually lowers the load on the card and makes the game run better, not like on my 1080ti which made you feel like there was a lag time and used just as much power. After I turned on gsync I was running maxed settings 4K God of War at 60fps with no dips in frame rate. The killer was I was only using 65% of my GPU and CPU. Insane! I had tried 1440p without gsync getting 120+ frames and it didn't feel as smooth, felt more blurry in the action. More frames isn't always better, matters how smoother they run. Give this card a good 4k game and it'll eat it up. Probably wont upgrade for a decade after this. ... show more

  • Great Card
It has been about a month & a half with this card. Constant crash to desktop while playing games. I have tried many many so called fixes to no avail. There are blogs & internet videos all about the crashes & voltage problems with no fixes yet still to date from manufacturers. I supposedly have a motherboard that should not be affected by this issue but it still is affected. 20+ games now tested & they all crash to desktop eventually. Some right away & some after 45 minutes to an hour of play. My old gaming computer NEVER had even close to this many crashes to desktop. I have updated, flashed turned on turned off switched out re-installed from BIOS to drivers to OS. "CRASH CRASH CRASH"!!! 7/16/2022, stay away from these cards. I have installed my old RTX 2070 Super & not one crash for the whole week of playing. I am extremely disappointed in this "RTX 3090ti" card! 11/2022 Crashing was bad memory. Memtest discovered my bad memory. Was not the card. The free game "Warframe" actually suggested the crashing of memory & directed me to "Memtest". ... show more

  • Excellent card!
I had this card for over a month and it is a beast. Performs excellent without any issues. Seems there is some negative feedback about problems caused by poor case cooling and/or underperforming power supply so make sure your case has good airflow and you are using a good quality power supply rated at least 850 watts (I have 1000 watts). The sag support bracket is useless so you will be better off getting an aftermarket crutch. I wish I waited for some time as the price dropped even further today. I got mine for $1460. ... show more

  • Mostly overkill, at a bad price point
My rating and headline are conflicting I know, but there's a reason. The 3090 Ti is an absolute beast, but if you're here you probably already know that. There isn't really anything you can't throw at this thing that it won't just laugh off. Tons of vram, and a nice zippy speed. For gaming, it's wonderful, totally overkill. For professional use, prolly a good idea. May price to performance from the Red side of the isle. HOWEVER!!!! I managed to get on amazon as the stars aligned one day, because I bought this brand spankin new for $1,100 USD in 2022. I don't know what happened to make the price so low, but within a week it was back to over $1600. As of the time of me writing this review it is retailed at something like $2100 but on sale for $2000. If you are looking to buy this card for light use and gaming, don't. So not worth the price. You can have wonderful game performance for a much lower hit to the bank account. If the stars align again and it falls to around $1000 again, go for it. You won't be sorry. If you are looking at this card for professional reasons, I would imagine Radeon might still be better bang for your buck. I don't use my card for work so I won't speak on this aspect as I have no experience there. All in all, beast of a card. Unless you have F you money though, probably not the best idea. Plus if you do have F you money, the 4000 series is out now, so just go get a 4090 ... show more

  • Scam alert Not a 3090 ti
Check serial numbers on both your card and box, I used affirm to get what I thought was a 3090 ti, box says it's a 3090 ti, but all programs, benchmark tools etc all show it's a 3080, not ok, just no, I'm calling Amazon customer service tomorrow and demanding they make this right, clearly it's between them and MSI, this was shipped and sold by Amazon so I didn't think much of it, I did however wander why my game tests were not on par with 3090 ti performance, I checked drivers, even Nvidias auto detect says it's a 3080, this is just not ok, this was supposed to be a birthday present to myself, I've always wanted a top shelf card since I got into computers several years ago, I'm just not ok with this ... show more

  • Got what I ordered
Got the 3090 ti as advertised, wasn't some lower spec card like some of the reviews said. Got it for 50 percent off because they're trying to dump stock. Not bad for a card that has a 2000 dollar MSRP. Using MSI afterburner with the card will intermittently boost my core clock to 2070 and it came with a sag bracket but it wasn't very good so I used the card without it and noticed very little to no sag. Don't recommend moving the computer without removing the card first though. ... show more
