When I first got the laptop, I thought the short battery life was due to all the installing and setting up I was doing. After a week or two, the laptop would only last an hour to an hour and half sitting almost idle. No use except just checking or typing an email every once in a while. I tried several different self trouble shooting things and finally contacted MSI support. After a few back and forth Emails they offered an RMA. When I agreed they retracted it and told me it "was within spec" to only last an hour to an hour and half on battery at idle. I would expect that when gaming, that's heavy work, but we're talking about running idle!!! this is unacceptable. ... show more

When I set up the computer, I was very careful to not mess up the MS Office 2021 subscription, but apparently did it anyway. There needs to be very SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS on how to avoid that. I contacted Microsoft and basically got "sorry". Very HOT about this!!!!!!!!

I have been looking for a good gaming laptop, but never could bring myself to pay much. I had an Alienware a few years ago which was good at first, but soon after came to slow speeds. I had a few regular laptops too and most of us know they are not built for heavy gaming. Found this for a great price and with nice specs. I am not a huge gamer, but when I do game I play things like Call of Duty, Diablo, World of Warcraft, Rocket League, Elden Ring, etc. I also love that I could do monthly payments. Pros: • Speed. Webpages and apps open instantly, start-up time is 10 seconds, streaming apps and gaming works smoothly. • Not super heavy or thick. • Supports USB-C, 2 USB ports, HDMI port, ethernet port, and AUX port. • Supports a lot of bluetooth devices and iPhone support (finally!). • Games work like a breeze. Cons: • Gets very HOT, but I bought a cooling system and it has helped tremendously. • Cannot change the keyboard's lights, one color only. • Touchpad sometimes gets stuck. May be hardware issue, but it isn't a big issue. • No disc drive, but I bought a portable blu-ray drive that also supports audio, photos, burning dvds/cds, and has many hookups ports. • BATTERY SUCKS! • Audio sucks, but there are apps that help boost it and also can use bluetooth speakers so not that bad of an issue. Overall I am very happy with my purchase and see it lasting me for a good while. Will update as I time goes on. ... show more
