  • A serious piece of hardware for budget gamers of all levels
Size: GTX 1050 TI Style: GTX 1050 TI GAMING X 4G
First, the housekeeping. This graphics card is massive. You may need to make some adjustments if you have a standard desktop case. I had to crimp down a notch on one of the expansion slots in the back so the card would seat perfectly in the motherboard interface. I just used a small pair of pliers to complete this. Take the time to learn the layout of your chipset and case and be very gentle when installing this card. While it is not flimsy, the card pins on the bottom are somewhat obscured by the fan shroud and headers (yeah, you read that right😁). For some reason, my card didn't come with an installation CD. No big deal. Just go to the NIVIDIA website and download the latest software which optimizes game settings for you. Next thing: power. You'll need at least a 500w power supply. I use the EVGA which comes with a 6 pin molex connector that plugs right into this graphics card. NOTE: if you have anything other than an ATX motherboard, you're going to need a 20+4 pin to P2 adapter which is available right here on Amazon. Now for the fun stuff. What's your game: Fortnite? Apex Legends? Call of Duty? At GDDR 5 with 4 GB of RAM, this game plays the above games at high and epic settings with ease and runs as quiet as the internal fans. NOTE: this card does tend to whir in a standard desktop case. Not to worry. I just removed the side panel and the card stays cool and very quiet. To add, when you run games like Fortnite on optimal settings, you may experience some freeze frames. THAT'S NOT YOUR GRAPHICS CARD - IT'S YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION. I have experienced this with both ethernet and wireless so I tested the speed of my internet connection and sure enough, I'm just under 10MB which is not optimal for online gaming. Nonetheless, I make due by lowering the settings a bit which compensates well. Lastly, the price point. Hands down, the best card you can buy for the money and performance output which trumps other cards within its price range. Overall, I am very happy with this card. It has revolutionized my gaming experience and I know it will do the same for you. ... show more

  • Best 1080p 150 USD GPU
Size: GTX 1050 TI Style: GTX 1050 TI GAMING X 4G
2nd UPDATED REVIEW: Paid 165 USD after taxes. my CPU is causing my bottleneck but still able to play games and nearly maxed 1080p settings. Games; Witcher 3(ultra, lowest 45fps),CS:GO(max 120 with a 1%low), GTAV(auto:very high 55fps+). I haven't seen a decrease in performance since I have installed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ANY BUDGET or UPGRADE!!! | | |(bottleneck fixed with new i5 cpu below) | UPDATED: 3/22/2018 PC Specs; Intel Core i5-8600k, 16 GB DDR4 RAM, ASUS Prime z370-z Mobo and same GPU. This graphics card is insanely good, plenty of head room for those wanting to manually overclocking or those who just want plug in and play. I personally I have seen the fans start to turn at ~63C (23% fan speed, not even audible) .I have yet to see this GPU get past 65C. Core Voltage can NOT be edited, it'll show it in the MSI Afterburner APP but soon as a game is launched it'll drop it to zero (something related to MSI not allowing it trying to help keep their customers from experiencing motherboard dangers). GamersNexus showed that Core clock of 150, Memory Clock of 500 is the only OverClock that is 100% stable and reliable, of which I personally found before reading the article. This GPU crush's DOOM at 1080p ultra! GTAV at max settings (using GamersNexus settings) at a stable 35fps but could easily achieve a locked 60+fps with default in settings. CSGO at locked 200+ fps. Overwatch ultra but scaling at 100% locked 55FPS. For the 156USDD it was well worth the buy but NOT worth the current prices due to the crazy price fluctuations from miners and supply/demand. I would only replace this card if it died (currently using the stable OverCLock for 14 monthsnow) on me, I don't plan on playing at 2k/1440p, this card is BEST for those wanting 1080p but don't mind medium settings. ... show more

  • Blazing fast Blazing fast
Size: GTX 1050 TI Style: GTX 1050 TI GAMING X 4G
My Husband is the one writing this review: We bought this to pair with the z370 Pro Carbon Gaming. It was a breeze to install, not as big as what other reviewers said it was. Unlike other GPU’s I’ve installed the power port on this one wasn’t as hard to plug into it. Specs: MSI Z370 Pro Carbon Gaming i5-8400 2.8ghz 6core 16gb GSkill Tridentz RBG 3200mhz MSI GeForce GTX 1050 TI 4gb Samsung 960 EVO 256GB M.2 Seagate 3TB EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G1 Corsair Crystal 460X With specs out of the way. After installing the GPU I opened Ark: Survival and turned all setting to Epic to see how well it would handle. I’ve never seen a game look so realistic! Can’t wait till Christmas so my boy can hook it up too the 4K TV at my parents. If you are looking for a card that will give you a bang for your buck for a decent dollar amount. This is the one for you. Now as a heads up, after you install the drivers make sure to set the display using the TV resolutions (Only I’d your using a TV and not a computer monitor). This is done through the Nividia Display program. Update: This GPU is able to run Assassin’s Creed: Origins at ultra High settings. At 1080p without a problem, if you are looking to do 4K max settings this isn’t the card for you. ... show more

  • Fast and quiet
Size: GTX 1050 TI Style: GTX 1050 TI GAMING X 4G
To get this out of the way, I am not a gamer, so I am not pushing this card to extremes. My PC had an ancient GTX450 card (also MSI) that I liked because it was quiet, but Windows had started freezing on me randomly so I decided (based on no evidence whatsoever) that it might be a driver issue and used that as an excuse to go GPU shopping. What I liked about this 1050Ti GAMING card was that it claimed to be extremely quiet. That it used a much more modern GPU architecture with, I hoped, a lower power draw, was a plus. While I don't game, I do use image editing software that is GPU-accelerated. The card was an easy swap out for my GTX450, though the new card is much longer. There's almost nothing bundled with the card - just some stickers - in the past the video cards I bought always included some sort of free game (which I then ignored). The included software CD installs something called WTFast that is never described. I removed it as it seemed irrelevant to my usage. The card is indeed quiet - I can't hear it over my quiet case fan (I have an Intel/Asetek water cooler) even when I run the "stress test" in the MSI software that pushes the power consumption towards TDP. I was pleased that the MSI software allowed me to turn off the LEDs - since my case has no windows, they served no purpose. I did compare performance with my photo editing software and the GTX1050 card was significantly faster than the GTX450 - maybe twice as fast. I'm happy! ... show more

  • Cool, quiet, stylish, but a little expensive
Size: GTX 1050 TI Style: GTX 1050 TI GAMING X 4G
(MSI GTX 1050 ti Gaming X) The first 1050 ti I owned was Zotac's OC model, which was a fine card. The only issue with it was that the fans couldn't go any lower than 45% speed, and it was a little too noisy for me at any load. I decided to purchase this card instead as a replacement. Here are my thoughts: + The card runs semi-passively under its default fan profile. Even at 35% fan speed, it is completely inaudible in my small custom wooden itx case. + It's a 1050 ti- you'd have to try hard to get it to thermal throttle. It runs cool. + The aesthetics appeal to me. It's a pretty sharp-looking card. +/- Is the 6-pin connector really necessary? Zotac's OC card was able to reach pretty high clocks using only motherboard slot power. +/- At this price point, they could have gone the extra inch to include a backplate. Gigabyte managed to do it with their flagship 1050 ti. - Speaking of price, it's hard to justify buying this specific card over a cheaper 1050 ti (usually smaller and without a 6-pin) or one of the less robust RX 470's at MSRP. ... show more

Size: GTX 1050 TI Style: GTX 1050 TI GAMING X 4G
tl;dr packaging was good, no problems or damages during shipping and installation. I have been using a 2011(?) laptop with an i7 2630QM Nvidia GT 550m since 2016 and before that a 2009 craptop since 2011.... Not anymore. 2017 is the year I finally upgrade to a real gaming rig, and the year I build my first PC. From a noobie (rookie) point of view, this is a freakin' amazing upgrade! I bought the MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GAMING X 4G and am very satisfied with the results it gives. If you are in somewhat in the same position as me, then you won't be disappointed with this card as an upgrade. Having the settings at 1080p on high and ultra settings, as well as having filters and effects enabled is a very, very good satisfying experience. The product came well packaged and there were no issues, problems or damages on the box or on the card, it will be safe during transit, don't worry if you were. It is an amazing card and I recommend it, that is if you can get one at the original price and not at scalper (reseller's marked up) prices. During this review, July 16th 2017, the scalper price is $200, so good luck. Go with another 1050 ti card if you have to and do not want to wait, I was lucky to get mine just before the prices went bonkers. Well, good luck and have fun, guys. ... show more

Size: GTX 1050 TI Style: GTX 1050 TI GAMING X 4G
I bought this card not knowing much about it other than it was an upgrade from my bricked EVGA 760. With the way the current GPU prices are this is by far the BEST and CHEAPEST GPU you can buy right now and still be able to play most AAA titles at 60 FPS 1080p. Running Overwatch and max settings with a solid 144hz. Playing Vermintide 2 at 1080p 60FPS high settings and it looks amazing. PUBG looks like alright and plays well too haha. PRO:Cheap 4GB card Easy to Overclock with MSI Afterburner. got it to 4.5MHZ easy and temps rarely exceed 50c even at full load. The Dual Fans help. This is stays cold in my case. Has easily changed lighting controls, though only in red. CONS; No 6GB version. its roughly $100 more than it was last year. Comes with a pretty lame sticker. I was really hoping for an emblem for case. This is an easy 5 stars for me ... show more
