  • Quiet. ALL DARK sleep mode. Auto mode.
The media could not be loaded. This HEPA filter is fairly small and would be great in a bedroom. You can hear it running but it's not loud and for anyone who's used to sleeping with a fan running, this is much quieter than even that. If you set it over in the corner you probably won't even notice it. Mine does make a little bit of a very subtle bumping noise like between a bump and a tick sound. It's not disturbing at all, but if you put it on your nightstand right next to you, you would hear it. The lighting effects are really neat on this. By default, it is off. The first touch of the light button puts it into rainbow mode where it goes around and around in a circle with the rainbow colors. It's very smooth and cool. The next touch of the LED button puts it into a slow cycle through solid variants of all of the colors. It's quite nice. If you would like a single stationary color, the way to choose that color is to wait until the cycling mode is on the color you want, then tap the LED button and that color will be the one that stays on. There is no brightness control for the LEDs. For the fan speed, there are three modes: auto, sleep, and turbo. Automatic is going to measure the air quality and adjust the fan speed based on that. It doesn't have a graduated display of the air quality so I don't really know what it's reading. The small color bar on the display is green for good air quality, yellow for moderate, red for poor. When I put it in my bedroom it runs at a low (good air quality) speed. The next button, sleep mode, puts it into a truly all-black mode with zero lights shown. They do initially stay on for like 10 seconds but then it turns off so that you have full black which is fantastic. The LED lighting effects are not controlled by sleep mode. You can put it into sleep mode and still have the LED show going. And then finally turbo mode puts the fan into the highest speed for maximum filtration. I do not see any actual indication of the fan speed on this. The dashed ring is supposed to indicate fan speed, but so far I’ve not seen that part of the display change at all. During sleep mode, I do not know how the fan speed is determined. For now, when I choose sleep mode the fan continues at the same speed it was in auto mode. On the display, the large number on top indicates how many days of filter life are remaining. It comes set at 99 days and assumes 24-hour operation. Overall this is a really great little filter. ... show more

  • Great Fun Air Purifier For Small Room
I got this air purifier for my nephew's room, and I can tell a major difference than it was before. He liked that it lights up and goes well with his whole gaming themed room, and really finds the colored lights soothing. I like that the air purifier has the auto mode that allows it to kick up into high speed when it reads that the room is not in the best of air quality, and will kick down to a lower level when the air has reached an optimum level. I like that the air purifier is smaller in size and easier to put on shelves or around gaming counsels to help clear our the air in an adolescent's room. I also like that it goes un-noticed most of the time because the sound is very minimal. I think it's a very good deal with the price point it's at, and I don't have any complaints on this air purifier. I am very happy with it. ... show more

  • Small and Filters Well but... Small
This is a fairly small filter that is quiet and can fit unobtrusively into many spaces. It has three speed settings - automatic (increases speed as the sensor detects more polluted air), night mode (runs always at lowest speed), and max speed (exactly what it says). The RGB lights have several modes, including the most important mode - completely off! The filter on this is incredibly well built, which surprised me - I was expecting a fairly generic pleated filter but this is definitely a custom made piece with a dedicated plastic frame and has some nice weight to it, indicating it has a fair amount of filter media in it. This is great! I have several particulate monitors (PM10, PM2.5, and PM1) and a device capable of putting out plenty of fine particulate matter (a 3D printer). I used these to measure the capabilities of this filter. I saw roughly a 75-80% reduction in fine particulate matter within a minute, including fine particulate matter that was 1 micron in size. I can't quite measure down to 0.3 Microns (what a HEPA filter should be able to do), but the fact that it is able to do 1 micron particles is a very strong indicator it does meet/come close to this claim. These measurements were taken in a small 10 cubic foot enclosure however. This is massively smaller than even a small room/closet. Because of this purifier's small size it will take it substantially longer to reduce fine particulate matter in a regular sized room, and in many rooms it will just be too small to make a noticeable difference in air quality. That means this won't be super suitable for large rooms and should mostly be used in small rooms. Altogether this is a great quality air purifier that filters well, but is limited only to small room due to its size/air change capability. ... show more

  • Allergy Season
With allergy season, we are suffering in my house. I got this HEPA filter to help. It is whisper quiet and the fan barely makes a sound. We blew some smoke toward it and the fan started and pulled the smoke into it. The air purifier has a countdown screen showing how many days the filter has left and should last 90 days. Mine started at 99 days. I have ours set on Auto setting and I barely remember its on. I haven't used the light feature. That would be great for a kid's room though. I haven't had it long enough to see if it helps with allergies, but anything can't hurt. ... show more
