I just installed this 9000 BTU mini split on my Ford E450 conversion camper. It works beautifully to keep the inside of my rig both cool and warm. With the DIY line set that is included with the kit it was a super easy installation. It is super quiet when it is running.

I bought this purely because of DIY (pre-charged freon). I have installed splits before but have to pay few hundred to have a tech come and charge the unit. Install directions were great, very easy to install, everything you need, although no line cover for exterior. Had entire thing installed start to finish including running electrical from power pole in less than 2 hours. Then I went in, powered it on and it started doing its thing, I was thinking wow this is great. I run the test function and while I am waiting the 30 mins it says to wait I go back outside to clean up. This is where I knew something was wrong, the outdoor unit is not running! I go back inside to make sure I didn't do something wrong and I see I have an error code. Says I have a communication error. I look it up and it says start with wires. I check everything, all labeled, all correct. I get out the voltage meter and everything checks out. Of course it's a weekend and Mr Cool is closed. So Monday morning I call, sat on hold for 10 minutes, it tells me as I am working up through the queue, then it connects... to a VOICEMAIL!! I waited 10 mins on hold to leave a message?!?! I am easy going guy, maybe a mistake, so after I leave a message I call back. This time 13 mins, same advance through the queue, connects to a voicemail AGAIN!!!! I am being persistent because this is a rental and my tenants are without AC in summer South Carolina. So now it's about 9am my time so I go ahead and use the online issue request through email and try the phone 1 more time, same result. I wait until 4 in the afternoon and never get anything back, 7 hours later. I figure lets try one more time. Work through the queue and OMG, they answer! I tell her what's wrong, she is nice and apologizes and starts giving me directions without even getting the model #!?! After the 3rd direction to check I cut her off and told her I don't have that wire, maybe if I give you the model # you can help me better. At this time she gets it and emails the troubleshoot guide. I live 30 mins away, its late in the day so I have to go tomorrow, but I ask, if this is the problem (circuit board which I assume it is) how long does it usually take? Her response was well usually only a week or two!!!! Are you kidding me, I got the unit in 4 days after I ordered, tenets understand, I understand, but now I have a brand new unit that doesn't work and its going to take 2 weeks to get the correct part!?!? Wow... I really like the product, I love that its true DIY with pre-charged lines, but customer service is just plain awful! They are really going to have to work to earn a second purchase.

Fantastic. Easy install I’m 79 years old installed this in three hours at my mountain cabin. It’s very quiet. Ran heat 24 / 7 for four months without a problem. I love the unit so much im buying another for my new add on room. Have not used cool yet but will update review end of this summer

We ran into some differences with the unit we received and the installation manual. #1 the template was wrong, we drilled the hole for the tubing/pipes to go through the wall right where the template showed and the hole was too low and bowed the plastic along the bottom downward and we couldn't get the unit to snap into place properly, it was an awkward struggle! We had to cut away more of the wall up higher and try to get the pipes to stay high enough not to be seen. And now the wall needs patched somehow. Not too happy about the extra work, but we already have to patch the wall where our old wall unit AC was below it so it will be ok. Not sure why the template wasn't accurate for our model, we triple-checked everything before drilling. We also watched a ton of installation videos and we are very experienced DIY people. In many of the install videos on Youtube they mention that they come with the two wrenches and hole saw you need for install, our model did not come with those items so thankfully we had them on hand. When I went to install the wifi USB thing under the front cover for controlling the unit via app on phone, I noticed we didn't have the same kind of dock location as the USB controller part instructions mentioned. So I called the company to see if there were different directions for our model for that part. I waited on hold for a long time and finally gave up and sent an email. I emailed on the 5th of July and they got back to me on the 8th of July with different instructions. That being said, this thing is AMAZING! It cools SO well, and we started with one 24K unit thinking we might have to add another 9k unit in our master bedroom that is furthest away from the unit, but the cool air reaches to that room decent enough, I am very pleased with this unit performance so far. Our home is a well-insulated, older manufactured home that is 1344 square feet. The main open rooms where the unit is installed are quite cool and the other rooms are pleasant enough (though warmer). We keep having to turn the temp setting up because we are feeling a little too chilly, we are still fining our sweet spot for comfort. It's been 99-104 degrees F outside the last few days so it's been put to the test. The heat works too, but we only tested that for 5 mins at installation. The slow customer service and inaccurate template & installation details gives me some pause in giving 5 starts, so I gave it 4 stars. They have a GREAT product, so a few tweaks to their business practices/instructions and it would definitely be a 5 star thing. The DIY aspect is what sold us on going with this brand, precharged lines etc. One other note, when I was filling out the warranty page, it mentioned warranties were only valid if installed by a certified professional, but then one line did say the Easy Pro series could be installed by homeowner and warranty would be valid. So might double check that the model you get has a valid DIY warranty. Hope that makes sense. Overall I highly recommend a mini-split! The DIY aspect is a winner too. I felt like the price for what you get is really good.
