I got this doll for my MIL, who has dementia. Dolls like this (with eyes open) provide comfort. She has another one that has been loved to death. This has a cloth body and stiffer, plasticky limbs. However they’re painted to be realistic looking. The magnetic pacifier works well. The hair looks pretty natural, too! Much more so than dolls when I was a kid. And like a real child’s hair, it’s style-able just with your fingers for the most part. The outfit she came with is cute. She also came with a real diaper? I put it on underneath. The “birth certificate” is a little odd in that there’s a blank space to fill in the name of the reborn artist. And the name of the nursery… but not the name of the babydoll or owner. It won’t matter in my case, but better would have been a place for a “parent’s” name and baby name. I remember loving that when I was a kid with a cabbage patch doll. ... show more

The quality of this item is on par with the price. It is a good value for what you get, the baby comes with accessories and clothes. She is pretty realistic looking. She served our purpose perfectly which was to take her to an assisted living facility and let the residents hold her. It's been a long time since most of them have held a sleeping baby and they all fell in love. They know that she is a doll but at the same time they are amazed at the level of technology we have today, that we are able to produce such a realistic looking one. It's like bringing stuffed animals for pet therapy. This is a high quality well made doll that we believe will stand the test of time, being passed around quite a bit.
