This is great quenching fluid. It works perfect. The two knives up above were made by using this for austinizing thew were 62 before tempering and 59 after.The smaller knife was made out of 1084 and the Bowie is 1095.

I put this oil to work yesterday 11-02-22. I quenched a knife I have been working on for a week or so. (Taking my time forging it) I brought the knife up to Temp and made sure of the color and quickly quenched it in this new oil. Few seconds later, I pulled it out and let it cool for 3 minutes and tested for hardness. Bam... spot on hard. So, first quench came out great with my first pass at it with this new oil.
