These write ok so far. A couple of the pen are very close in color but I got them to mark items not for art. The pen tip is a lot thicker than I thought it would be so it may not work in all of the situations I wanted. I like that there is a "click" sound to ensure they are closed. I have had these for only a couple of days so I can't speak to their longevity or if they dry out easily. This brand has been good for other markers so I am hopeful. Good deal, I think. ... show more

This set of white gel pens is my 7th or 8th Mr. Pen product purchase. I needed a thicker, even result from the white gel and I tried several of the expensive "jelly" pens, but couldn't get a consistent line of color for more than a few millimeters. Out of frustration I took to Amazon and Mr. Pen. I'd purchased a few random office supplies, a cute calculator and a set of highlighters on lightening deals from this brand so I thought I'd try this set of 8 White 0.7mm Gel Pens. I love the packaging. Each item has come packaged with a "Thank you" card, mustache sticker, and reminder that Mr. Pen is a family run business and they appreciate my business. I mention this because the big office supply store doesn't have any of those little extras when I buy (at 4-5x the cost) from them. The Gel pens have the little beads on the tip that keep the ink from drying out between manufacturing and use by the customer, which is appreciated as gel ink does expired and will dry out if not sealed. The protective beads come off cleanly, also not always the case with other brands. I've purchased pens from other name brands that were either completely dry or ruined by the sealing bead not popping off completely, leaving glue residue on the roller ball and forever ruining the pen. Including these white ones, I have close to 50 Mr. Pen gel pens and every single one works exactly as it should, no streaking, nice, clean, even lines, without the need to stop and roll the ball around to get the ink flowing again. Mr. Pen has earned my business and I will continue to choose their products for my office and craft room whenever possible. Just good enough to not return. Mr. Pen's inconsistent quality is so frustrating. They have some of the best office supplies I've ever owned and then they have cheap, dull, muddy markers like these. Takes several layers for the ink to show on black paper, very annoying. Writing is smooth, doesn't seem to skip, but I don't recommend for black paper which is why I bought them. ... show more

So I have an addiction to art supplies, stationary, art, lettering, etc. And I have tried about every kind of brush pen, marker, gel pen out there and usually use uniball signo white gel pen, gelly roll white gel pen, posca paint pen, kurtake white highlight pen or occasionally art-n-fly white gel pen for highlighting my art work and handlettering, that I do in gouache, acrylic, water color, alcohol markers, and regular water based markers and I tested these on all those mediums and they work as good as, if not better than some of the top contenders (uniball signo, kuretake and posca pens). They are super pigmented and smooth. They don't start to skip or get clogged like other white gel pens. The sit on top of your artwork even gouache, watercolor and waterbased markers and acrylics instead mixing and blending into whatever medium your using like some other white gel pens. It is pretty close to the quality of the uniball signo white gel pens. It is most definitely my favorite white highlighting pen I have found so far not just cause it works amazingly bit because they are sooo inexpensive and come with so many. They are a steal and I would even pay more for them because they are that good. Definitely artist approved. ... show more
