ETA: After practicing with this some more, I was able to complete my project (I'm not very satisfied with the results, however.). Get a glue gun with a precision tip for fine detail work. The glue comes out in blobs. It is impossible to make straight lines with it. It is impossible to tell how much glue is left. There is no way to take out the old cartridge. You can only put a new one in, forcing the rest of the glue in the old one forward. This results in more messy lines. I only wanted to make a small craft (a doll mermaid tail). This is a nightmare - literally a hot mess. ... show more

    • Struggles to melt glue sticks

Good price but it takes about 15 minutes to heat up enough to melt the glue sticks and then it struggles to stay hot enough to get half a stick out before it has to get hot enough to melt em again. The part that advances the glue sticks doesn't grab them properly so I have to push them through with my hand 90% of the time which kind of defeats the point of having the trigger. Seems that everything that is actually reasonably priced ends up being a cheap low-quality look-alike lately and ends up being a waste of money. ... show more
