For about $6 for 9 brushes I gave these a try. GLAD I did! Nice heft to the brushes, seem to be built good. Nothing shedding and no loose ferrules. Bristles have snap but are a bit soft for gouache, but really nice for lettering. Long soft bristles with snap. I'd buy these again, right now they are on sale for about $4.50. That's a steal for decent brushes

I can’t tell you how useful these brushes are. Thicker, comfortable handles. Perfect for any fine detail. I’ve used one for doing eyeliner with black eyeshadow, makes perfect cat eyes. I use one for doing small designs on my gel nails. Any small detail job you have, these will work. No shedding so far, no stray brush hair sticking out to ruin your work. Excellent quality for the price.

These brushes are great for precision work. I’m using them for painting cookies and they have held up well so far. The ergonomic shape was new to me, and I’ll never go back to straight brushes again.

I really enjoy these brushes, and I wish I'd had them when I started with my first set of models, because they work wonders. I wanted to give them a 4.9, but can't do a partial number, and I'll explain. They are amazingly comfortable to work with, the bristles stay together very well, they are insanely great for fine details (At least the 1-000 ones are). Legit the ONLY issue I've had from them to date is that when you're wiping the brush on a paper towel or rag to get the excess paint off, or to clean them, the bristles will develop a 10-15 degree tilt from the ferrule (the metal bit that holds them to the brush shaft). Wipe them in the opposite direction and it levels out straight away, but that implies that they may not be held quite as firmly as could be desired. That said, for the price, these things are amazingly good, and unlike other brushes I've had, they don't shed bristles. For a beginner, I'd certainly suggest picking them up.
