    • Surprisingly Sturdy
I have a memory foam mattress that's only about 9 inch thickness (maybe 10 but I don't recall) and needed a frame (sick of having my mattress on the floor). Bought this in a prime day deal. Set it up this evening. Here are my thoughts... It was relatively to our together by myself. The instructions were in picturebook style with some refe6tinthe needed materials. The nuts and bolts and bars were all labelled, which helped. Once assembled (took maybe 20 minutes on my own), it was surprisingly Sturdy. I weigh 195lbs. This thing didn't even budge when I flopped on it once the mattress was put down. Took about an hour nap and it was just fine I was worried that with the memory foam mattress and the spacing of the support bars would be felt through the mattress but no. Thought I might have to get one of those bed boards but nope. So far, so good. I'll update as I use it more. ... show more

I knew this was a platform bed frame from the start but the price was better than getting a twin bed frame. I thought it could take a new box spring and mattress I already had and be okay even though it would be higher than I wanted. It went together fairly well and we put the box spring and then the mattress on . It was way too high but my son thought it was fun so we left it. It lasted a day that way. Since, there is no lip on the outer edges of the frame, the box spring moved to one side while the mattress moved to the other, making a potentially dangerous situation when getting off the mattress. You pretty much had to just slide off the mattress and hope you landed alright. So the next day, off came the box spring and replaced with just the mattress. It is a good height now and doesn't move. I am just not happy that I have an expensive mattress set that cannot be used correctly now and secondly, I have a mattress that I feel is not being supported fully, so it will wear quickly and unevenly. We will see over time. The quality of the metal is very good, very sturdy. Meanwhile, I will still look for an inexpensive twin bed frame when I can. Recommended if you want it solely as a platform bed. Update: I have increased the rating on this by one star simply because of the customer service. Although it still is not the best solution for me, a workable solution was offered that was more than generous. The customer service Agent Lucy was extremely helpful and patient with a computer of mine that is down more than working so it has taken weeks. If you are on the fence about this bed frame, I would urge you to try it based upon my interaction with customer service. ... show more

    • Excellent choice for affordable bedframe.
I bought one for each of my kids and I'm very impressed! Sturdy once put together, not noisy like their previous frames, and very solid feeling. They both love them and the fact we were able to get rid of the bulky box springs. Also a good amount of space underneath for storage if needed.

    • Very Sturdy--Easy Assembly
PROS I assembled by myself in about 25 minutes. At first I thought the cross bars were the wrong size, but after a bit of patient maneuvering, they slid into place properly. It is very sturdy--used it for a 300 pound house guest. The packaging was labeled very clearly and it is easy to see what goes where. The bolts and nuts were packaged in sets, so you didn't have to figure out which one to use where. It came with two allen wrenches and the correct size bolt holder. I wanted to post photos but my SD card got corrupted. CONS The distance between the frame and the first slat is too wide and the mattress ends can actually fall through if you sit on the end of the bed. Will need to create a twine lattice to secure this part. ... show more

This might be one of the easiest things I have ever assembled. For the most part it is completely idiot proof. The legs are all the same, the supports are all the same, and the cross bars are all the same. The only thing you can mess up is putting the cross beams upside down. I, as a 5 foot tall female, was able to put it together within about 30 minutes. It would have been faster If I wasn't balancing pieces and parts on my own. As for the sturdiness I flailed around a bit and outside of some settling thought it was fine. I do agree with other comments, its slightly bigger than the bed. Which is a good thing bad thing with my bed, as I definitely noticed my bed trying to go between the cracks at the edge of the bed. Its not completely silent, but good enough for a single person. I will update this if anything changes, but for now it was easy to build and is doing its job. ... show more
