I bought this grate on January 16th and received it on January 25, 2023. By March 17th, it had disintegrated. The fire brick in the fireplace is rated to 1,200 degrees, so I know the fire inside the box never got anywhere close to that temperature or the entire box would have come apart and burned my structure to the ground. This grate is a disappointment. I can't return it because I'm outside of the return window. There's no reason this grate should have fallen apart like it did after 7 weeks of use. I just wasted $72 of my hard earned money for nothing. I would not recommend it. POST NOTE: The selling company graciously replaced the original grate with a new one. This one is holding up very well. I've revised my review accordingly. It's good to see a vendor make good on a defective product. Thank you Ella in their customer service department.

It's been less than a year and already center 3 bars have melted. Yes less than a year but if you just count the cold months, maybe 3? I don't care about the paint as long as it holds its shape but it failed.
