The media could not be loaded. 2013 Ford Explorer XLT. It's plug and play but it's hard to reach the 2 ignition plugs and plug in the kit plugs if your key start is on the dash. The kit doesn't come with a OBD2 connector bracket so the kit plug just hangs from the wires and can't be mounted like the factory one did. Remote start does work perfectly so I gave it 5 stars. ... show more

I gave this a 4 star, because it would have been nice if the instructions would have said to be fast with the key programming. The 3 seconds it says on there is a bit slow. But I had other issues with it, but it was due to my own errors. Other than that it was pretty easy to install. I ended buying the remote system with the smartphone option. I had my wife start the car from the with the app when I was 25 mile away. It actually worked. We are pretty satisfied with it so far. I installed it on a 2014 Ford Explorer. ... show more

It works on my 2015 Ford Explorer XLT,, the only thing is that to start it's not "lock" button 3 times, mine starts by pressing lock, unlock, lock and lock, so lock unlock lock lock but it doesn't bother me and other than that everything works the way it was described.

I installed this exactly as instructed and it worked right from the beginning. It was awesome for about 2 months until my car wouldn't start one day, electrical wouldn't even come on. Had it towed to a dealership and found out that this system had fried the wiring system of my car. Cost me $650.

I'd like to write a book about what a pain this was. But it's not MPC that is really to blame. I think they could do better. But it was a lot more involved than I thought it would be. It requires splicing into your diagnostic port. I was sweating bullets doing that. Then the programming was just nuts. I spent over an hour doing the same thing over and over. I don't even know why it finally worked. The instructions are detailed, but fairly complex. Next time I'm taking it in. My only gripe after the install is that you don't really know that the car is turned on. It blinks a blue light no matter what you do. No feedback from the car I guess. ... show more

Good value. Two issues that I ran into. I could not program on my 2013 explorer until I shut off the automatic headlights. Also the new obd plug did not come with the bracket to mount properly.
