That speaker is a Klipsch R-52C Center Channel...and weighs ~15 lbs. I basically tossed the instructions aside for the shelf assembly. The pics show it as something that hangs underneath a TV, and facing forward in front of the TV. Needed something that'd face backwards and above the TV...yet this thing was versatile enough to still handle it with ZERO issues. Connected it to my VESA Brackets in the back (warning before buying...you -at least- have to have that, if you TV is large...is just some kind of VESA bracket from either a wallmount, or aftermarket bolt-on TV stand) My only complaint? Surprisingly it's that the surface is glass....-suppperr slick- I ended up having to grab some rubber furniture pads that I had laying around from when I needed my couch to stop sliding around. That speaker isn't goin anywhere now lol. It was sitting fairly okay without them, but I was afraid to microvibrations from things like walking past the TV would, over time, cause it to fall, as I was able to get it to move on the glass by simply tapping it with a finger. If you plan on using this in the way I did (facing backwards) keep in mind that the weight limits in the description may no longer be valid...when this thing is facing forward, the weight is distributed differently to borrow a bit of strength from the TV. The way that I have it set up now has the weight completely targeted on the shelf, so I doubt 22 lbs applies in this position. Great product! ... show more

This is a great addition to a wall mount TV with certain caveats as I will explain. Many of the complaints in the reviews can be overcome very simply. First the hardware. I agree that the hardware is sub-standard. The best approach is the discard the screws that come with the bracket and start over. I purchased (6) M5-.80 x 12mm long socket head cap screws to replace the screws that are supplied to mount the shelf arms to the shelf brackets. I got a M5-.80 tap and ran it in all of the threaded holes to clear the powder coating from the threads. I then backed up the cap screws with M5-.80 nuts for extra holding power. For the shelf clamps do not try to use the 4 phillips head screws they supply. Get 4 good quality M5-.80 phillips oval head screws. I had the shelf brackets spaced off the TV far enough that I could add one 1/4-20 truss head screw with flat washers and nuts to each side to better clamp the bracket to the TV wall mount bracket. Finally someone mentioned that the components DVD player, cable box, etc slide around on the glass shelf. Also that it could not be used with an articulating wall mount. The solution is simple. Put Velcro hook dots on the device and Velcro loop dots on the glass. Components can also be stacked this way on the shelf and not move. Easy fix. Beware - specs on web page are way off but shelf is decent if the dimensions work for you. The web page shows pictures with dimensions of both the one shelf and 2 shelf versions. It shows the height as 24.5 inches for both. Beware that the 1-shelf version is only 16 inches tall. (30% shorter than shown) It happens this worked OK for my application but it was much shorter than I expected. I used it to hang a laptop (used as a media PC) and Wii below a 60 inch LED TV in my gym. This TV is hanging from the ceiling with a ceiling mount. I was concerned the width would be close but it was wide enough for a 60 inch TV to align with the VESA holes. I had measured and knew it would be close and it was but indeed it worked. The hardware is all cheap and not powder coated. For my application since this is just in a gym and not in my house this was OK. If it was in my house I would replace the cheap screws and bolts etc with powder coated versions that match the rest of the product. It is not very deep and being curved it is even less deep at the edges. The Toshiba 17" widescreen laptop I have on it just barely fits hanging over the edges a bit. Still this sort of thing is very hard to find (I did a LOT of looking) and this actually worked out decent for me. I would but it again. If I had know it was this short I might have bought the 2-shelf version assuming it is actually taller. The design leaves a bit to be desired in terms of ease of assembly but it is nothing huge. You really need a right angle screwdriver to tighten the brackets down securely that hold the shelf in place. But I happened to have something like that on hand. As it worked out being shorter at 16 in actually made it easier for me because this means it only hits the bottom 2 VESA holes so I did not have to remove my TV from the mount, just remove the bottom 2 screws and slide this between the mount in the TVA and screw it back down. So hanging it was pretty easy. It was a one-person job. It would be nice if the shelf was anything other than glass (well except for plastic of course). I really don't like glass shelves but this is about all you can find. I could always make my own replacement shelf if I had to. The bracket was the important part to me. ... show more

I needed to find some way to mount a conference room webcam on our television. This was the perfect solution. I found a bunch of products for the Kinect camera, and Playstation camera, gorilla pod mounts, sound bar mounts, but nothing that was quite right for a simple webcam until I found this. The bars slip behind the bottom tv mount points. I installed this without having to remove the TV from the wall mount. Shelf is gloss black glass, which gathers fingerprints and dust easily, but looks nice most of the time. The price is right, and it is a simple perfect solution for this type of thing. ... show more

I found that installing this shelf was a little challenging. It was difficult to get the shelf onto the back of the TV and attach the wall mount all at the same time. Since I can't think of a way to make it easier, I am not going to count that against the product. Once it was installed, it looked very good and was a perfect size. It holds a cable box as well as a small power strip and does not extend out so far from the TV to be a problem. Overall, a great solution for the price. ... show more
