  • It does swivel as described!
This was a gift for my son who wanted to turn Tv sideways to view laying down! It works as expected. To make sure it doesn’t get swiveled slightly since there is no lock he just places an item under it.

  • Almost too easy
I was hesitant to buy this at first because of the price. I thought it was one of those "too good to be true" situations. I am happy to say I was wrong... This wall mount is great! It was super easy to install, all required hardware was provided. I installed it and mounted the TV in under an hour. I love the rotating feature which is really what I was going after. Super sturdy too. Very happy with this wall-mount. ... show more

  • TV doesn't stay in place
The idea behind this mount is solid, but the execution is incredibly disappointing. The spring loaded ball that is supposed to snap the TV into place at 90 degree increments is sized too small for the detents, and so there's a huge amount of play and in some situations the ball actually seems to be trying to push the TV out of being level. Only purchase this product if you constant want your TV to be at an angle that's about 5-10 degrees off of level. ... show more

  • Mount works and was easy to assemble
Mount works and was easy to assemble. It has a plastic button that protrudes to supposedly lock it in position when changing from landscape to portrait. I hear it click, but it does not do anything. Might be OK for a tv or monitor that weighs under 20lbs. Mine weighs 70lbs. Overall I like it and might make my own positive stop for rotation at some point. ... show more

  • Perfect for my 65" The Frame television by Samsung
I recently bought the 65" The Frame TV by Samsung and I wanted to be able to rotate it 90 degrees for a portrait view when I have certain artwork displayed. This mount accomplished that perfectly. My television only sticks out 2 1/8" (technically 2 3/8" with a 1/4" plywood backing) from the wall with this mount which is impressive. I would definitely prefer it to be down to under 1" but I'm still happy. I can easily rotate the television 90 degrees and it stays exactly where I placed it. The mount moves freely enough to rotate the TV but then has enough friction to prevent the TV from rotating on it's own due to gravity. ... show more

  • Can work for some smaller VESA spacings
I gave this five stars because it worked well for me. However, there was some DIY required. Your circumstances may be entirely different. I had to make some mods, but this adapter works great for me on a 32" smart TV I'm using as a second monitor for my laptop. The horizontal bar that holds the vertical bars can be used standalone for a 200 x 100 pattern. Just drill the holes in the bar 200 mm wide, 100 mm high, and properly centered. You can then support a small TV with a 200 x 100 pattern. As others have said, there is a lot of play in the 90-degree "locks." But you can manage this without adding friction for a small, light display. For larger or unbalanced displays, you should be able to create friction with wedges. Or you can create "struts" to hold your unit in place. I attached this mount to a rolling floor stand rather than a wall. This required drilling a hole in the floor stand's adapter. But with the right hardware (#10 machine screws and bolts and 1/4" washers), the setup gives me a monitor that is easy to move around the room and rotate to any viewing angle, landscape, portrait, or in between. You may have to be inventive in order to make some configurations work, and you may want to buy some extra drill bits for drilling through the iron. But this was the only solution I could find to get what I needed, and it works nicely for me. ... show more

  • Read the fine print!!!!! Doesn’t work with all 32 inch models, or any tv with 100x100mm holes!!
I bought this to use as a rotating monitor stand for an emulation machine. The mounts packaged well, and things seemed hopeful. I was mounting on a 32 inch Vizio TV. The first problem I hit was that to mount it as directed, the bars were not fitting. My holes were under the spec’d required, however they were too wide for the vertical bars. I mounted them flipped, and got them on there straight, but then realized there isn’t any flexibility designed into the horizontal portion to do anything but the required setup. Further, if your monitor isn’t dead center (as many aren’t to accomidate wiring or adding speaker bars) the monitor will rotate offset, and the catch that should stop it to hold the tv vertical will catch off center. This means the tv will not be vertical. For the bigger TVs and brands mentioned this is probably fine. Being sold as a “most 32 inch TVs” I feel is negligent, as many smaller TVs are going to have 100x100 holes. Just measure before you buy. I’m giving it two stars because it looks like it’s built fairly well. It loses stars for not holding vertical tightly (as others mention) as well as not handling a 32 inch tv I tried well at all. ... show more
