Shelves are tempered glass but pretty thin. Four metal rods screw into the top shelf and you stack from the top down. The legs are simple hollow tubes, again very very thin and lightweight. The tube "holders" on each tube end, and on each shelf, are pretty cheap plastic discs with a chrome finish like you see on toys, and a hole in the center for the rod. BUT... it was delivered intact and well packed. It assembled well with no issues, 25 min start to finish. The heaviest part is the glass as might be expected. I did not care for the feet although they work fine. I was hoping for more robust feet so that I could place spiked feet to isolate the equipment, but no such luck. I might do a mod in the future to let me do that. All this being said it does look nice and much more expensive than it was. As they say, you get what you pay for and at 125 bucks for two - not bad. Was pretty straight forward to put together. I'm not sure what I was expecting but for the price maybe not 4 long skinny bars running in the center of razor thin, super cheap metal tunes. I mean it feels more sturdy once it's completely put together but still. I assumed it would feel better in quality during assembly. It holds up well or I would have returned it and not put some moderately expensive stereo equipment on it. The glass is pretty nice but as anyone with these types of things in their homes.knows they need wiped down and dusted "frequently" and by that I mean almost literally daily. Dust and fingerprint magnets. But that comes with the territory. If ypu need shelving for stereo equipment or small faberge eggs then this will work for you. I suggest spending a few more bucks and getting something that feels a little sturdier though. ... show more

I needed a new rack for stereo, and this was the exact size. It looks great, and you can adjust the shelf's heights. Cool look, that does show dust and fingerprints....yet no need to touch glass shelves beyond assembly. Had an extra round disk (ones rest under/above each tube upright), which helped because one came cracked. Well packed...and arrived with no damages. Good for most anything....yet it sets off the stereo system with a modern look. ... show more
