Only used a few times but I needed to bring 3 ac's up 2 flights of stairs. 2 of them 80lbs each and I was doubtful it would go well but...it did to my surprise. I tied them down good and it didn't budge while I was going up stairs. My only con is that you can't turn on a dime but maneuver abit but it worked . The bungee that came with isn't that good. It seems to be made well...A bit heavy adding xtra weight to your load. The handles are hard plastic which could be padded. I actually had to use the center bar while pulling. The wheels worked very well on steps. I also moved a huge 94lb box not going but any stairs and it worked great..better then the dumb dollys I have with that tiny short peice which is supposed to hold an object. Will it last...time will tell

Easy to handle and gets the job done.

This item is a lot more sturdy than it looks. I'm not a fan of the plastic used for handles and where the bars join but that may surprise me too. I'll see in the long run. This item was used to move washing machines and an oven out of my basement. Going up the stairs was still a bit difficult but better than a traditional hand truck. Going down is easier to control so that's a bonus. Although the tubes and wheels don't seem to be very thick, it seems to be sturdy. It didn't wobble nor give the impression that it couldn't withstand the weight. The handle is adjustable and raised/lowered by squeezing two spring-loaded levers together. This is convenient and is a lot better than trying to push the small metal buttons some devises use. Overall, I'm very happy with this product.

Mount-It stair climbing dolly/hand truck

I don't often leave reviews but I wanted to in this case. I really needed something quick, and not terribly expensive to bring 30 boxes of heavy flooring up to the fourth floor to my condo. This wasn't very expensive and for the money, it is very useful. It does indeed make it easier to lift stuff up the stairs. I'm 59 years old and not in the best shape of my life! It was really easy to put together. I would suggest a mallet or hammer for the silver cap that goes over the wheel mount. I used a rock because that's what I had handy at the moment and that worked. One of the issues I read in the reviews was that the yellow handle coverings were cracked on arrival or cracked shortly after. I've made about nine trips already and the handles are fine. It comes with a bungee that I thought might be cheap but that also is sturdy and works fine. The other thing I like is that top handle part can go down and the plate on the bottom folds up for storage.

Not what I expected

This really does not work like I expected. It is very heavy and doesn’t feel reliable when going down the stairs. The wheel comes down with a thud and I was afraid I was hurting my inside stairway. I am giving it away. Really not helpful!

Missing factory parts

I purchased the Mount-it 3-wheeled hand truck as I needed something that would help get heavy items up and down stairs without carrying them. UPS delivered it. The box had torn and gaping holes on front and sides and looked like it had been dropped and gouged several times. Despite that, the handcart inside was in very good shape, the plastic bag of parts and manual were all intact. It assembled easily. The floor piece comes connected to the handle assembly by bolts, one on each side. This is factory-assembled, as can be seen in an online video. However, the one we got had one bolt on one side with no washer and no nut. On the other side there was no bolt, no washer, no nut. I had been sent a handcart certified to lift 330 pounds in which the floor and handle were attached by only one unsecured bolt! I called Mount-It customer service who responded with an email asking for the Amazon order number and more information and directing me to the owner’s manual to identify the missing parts. I sent photos and explained that the missing parts are not shown in the owner’s manual because they should have been assembled and shipped from the factory. Their response was to ‘strongly urge’ me to notify Amazon and return the handcart for a replacement. I had purchased this for an immediate need. All the handcart needed to safely operate was bolts, washers and nuts. My prior experience with UPS suggests they weren’t going to accept for return the badly damaged box it had come in and this was going to become a big hassle. I took photographs and the bolt to our neighborhood Ace hardware. They easily identified and handed me the exact bolts, washers and locking nuts - and refused to charge me for them. All of which to say this is a very good 3-wheeled handcart and exactly what I needed. However, if you buy it, expect it may come in a box that’s been badly damaged along the supply route. Most importantly, examine it carefully before using it as my experience shows there was poor factory quality control.

Great Product!

I bought this as a gift to my father who has issues moving up and down stairs but refuses to ask for help :) This product works as advertised. A little expensive for what it is in general but worth it in the end. it's easy to assemble and only took a few minutes. The yellow handle grips arrived broke. The product comes with a manual/phone number. They immediately sent new handle grips. Customer service was wonderful! I don't say that lightly. The grips are a tight fit and the replacements will eventually crack too. Thats my only thing I wish was different. However, it's really not that big of a deal.

Works Perfect!

I got this because at 63 and with a degenerative muscle disease, it was getting harder to bring in the monthly subscription items, especially the heavy ones like water. This thing works perfect. I smush it up against the box; the flat edge slides right under. I put my foot against the wheels, and it tilts back. Then I bring it to the one step, which it handles effortlessly, and unload the stuff in the closet. Perfect every time. Very maneuverable and light--but not at all flimsy--it handles boxes of dog food or kitchen stuff with equal ease. I love it. And my husband--who griped and jibed when I bought it ("what do you think we are, a moving company?") now uses it too.

Great hand truck-terrible bungee cord

We loved the hand truck, as we had to move a lot of boxes down 5 flights of stairs. However, within about 10-15 trips, the bungee cord started fraying. Then one hook completely came off within the first 3 months. And we were only carrying plastic and cardboard boxes. The only metal it rubbed against was the platform of the truck. And not even overly stretched. Also, while the truck was overall great on stairs, it took a lot of upper body strength to keep it from getting away from us. And you had to almost bring it upright to get it turned around tight turns between flights. But we still loved it and our move would have been much harder without it. We just had to purchase another heavy duty bungee.
