Installed on covered patio and thrilled with the turnout. About 1 minute to raise or lower. Uses a nylon strap attached to the motor to raise and lower the TV. Not noisy by any means but, when it's quiet, you can hear it. Very stable mount as well. Mounted in single stud for my application and a 43inch tv. Only gripe is with figuring out the specific way to setup the mount on the TV for this specific TV. I needed to use only 2 of the vesa arms and a combination of the included spacers to make it work but, wasn't hard to get together. Only a couple days old currently but, will update later for longevity. Edit: 2nd winter started and it's still going strong. I've covered it from about November to April and it hasn't had any issues. Will update again in the future.

Works great. I have it outside mounted under a porch. Installation was easy. It was missing the remote due to poor handling by FedEx. Called the company directly, not Amazon. They had superior customer service and immediately shipped a replacement no questions asked. It is holding a 55” TV like it was nothing. Very solid. I also have a mantel mount inside from Mount It. Also 5 stars. Great company, great products, great service.

Overview We recently installed the Mount-It Motorized Ceiling TV Mount with Remote under our new patio cover, and it has been a fantastic addition. This motorized mount is designed to fit flat-screen TVs and monitors ranging from 32 to 55 inches. It boasts a sleek black design that complements any setting and comes equipped with a remote control, making it a convenient and modern solution for mounting your television. Installation One of the standout features of this TV mount is how straightforward the installation process is. Even for someone with minimal DIY experience, the setup was remarkably simple. The instructions provided were clear, and all the necessary hardware was included. We had it up and running in less than an hour. The mount’s design is intuitive, ensuring that you can securely attach it to the ceiling or a pitched roof without hassle. This makes it perfect for outdoor patios, garages, or any room where wall mounting isn’t ideal. Performance The performance of the Mount-It Motorized Ceiling TV Mount is top-notch. The motor operates quietly and smoothly, allowing the TV to move up and down without any sudden jerks or noise. One of the things we appreciated the most is the slow movement speed. This ensures that the TV is handled gently, reducing the risk of damaging the TV or the mount itself. The motorized feature is a real game-changer, especially for outdoor use where you might want to tuck the TV away when it’s not in use. The remote control provides a good range, and the buttons are responsive, making it easy to adjust the TV’s position with just a press. Design and Build Quality The build quality of the Mount-It Ceiling TV Mount is impressive. It feels robust and well-made, capable of securely holding the TV in place. The black finish gives it a sleek, modern look that blends well with our patio’s aesthetic. The mount is designed to accommodate a range of TV sizes, which makes it versatile and future-proof if we ever decide to upgrade our TV. The flip-down feature is particularly useful for areas with space constraints or where you want to keep the TV out of sight when not in use. Functionality This mount is highly functional, and its features add great value. The ability to tilt and adjust the TV angle ensures that you get the best viewing experience, no matter where you are sitting. Whether you’re hosting a backyard movie night or just watching a game while grilling, the flexibility to adjust the TV’s position is fantastic. The remote control operation adds a level of convenience that manual mounts can’t offer, and it’s a feature we now find indispensable. Pros • Easy Installation: The installation process is quick and straightforward, even for those with little DIY experience. • Quiet and Smooth Operation: The motor operates quietly, and the TV moves up and down slowly, reducing the risk of damage. • Versatile and Stylish: Fits a wide range of TV sizes (32-55 inches) and has a sleek black design that complements any decor. • Convenient Remote Control: The remote is responsive and provides easy control over the TV’s position. • Sturdy and Reliable: High-quality build ensures that the TV is securely mounted and stable. Cons • Slow Movement: While the slow movement is generally a positive for protecting the TV, some users might find it a bit too slow if frequent adjustments are needed. • Limited Range for Remote: Although the remote is generally effective, it may have limited range depending on the layout of your space. Conclusion Overall, the Mount-It Motorized Ceiling TV Mount with Remote is an excellent investment for anyone looking to maximize space and flexibility in their TV setup. It’s especially ideal for outdoor areas like patios, where you can keep the TV out of the way when not in use and bring it down for viewing only when needed. Its combination of ease of installation, reliable performance, and convenient features make it a great addition to any home. Whether for entertainment or business, this motorized mount is sure to impress with its quality and functionality.

I have used this mount on my covered patio for the pat summer in an enclosure I built into the ceiling. It has worked good most of the time but as the title states it's a bit glitchy. When I first installed it, the enclosure had fresh paint and the stops for the full upright position were sticking to the paint. This is the glitchy part of the mount. It does not like any resistance when going down. I'm assuming this is a safety feature and unfortunately when it stuck to the paint it would fault out and beep. You have to shut down the power for 20 seconds, reset power and hold the ok button for 5 seconds. It then resets and returns to full upright position. Again, unfortunately it was already in full upright position and would pull the belt tighter each time I reset it. After about 5 attempts I realized what was happening. I had to cut an access door into my enclosure to free the belt because I never expected it to lock in the up position. I un-installed the mount to refeed belt into motor and re-installed in the enclosure. In the end I put a piece of duct tape over the stops so they no longer stuck and it worked flawlessly for a couple months. Then another glitch showed up. If it had gone unused for a few days it would go down partially, stop and beep.. You can hold the down button and it will go all the way down. I believe there's probably resistance on the belt. Maybe it sticks together where it rolls up on itself ( thought about applying a lubricant of some sort on belt but haven't tried it yet). Not a deal breaker but definitely an annoyance. One other issue is the fact that the tv hangs face down when retracted to full upright position and tv screens are glued to the units. Over time if your tv is outside in a hot climate like the summers in Arkansas where I live, the glue holding the screen on will soften and the screen will fall off like mine did. Luckily the tv still worked and I was able to use some super sticky aqua tape from Home Depot made for higher temps and tape the screen down around the perimeter. Shouldn't be an issue again. I would say so far it is a good product with small gliches. In the end, after that long winded review I would say that if you have no other option for mounting a tv, I would use this mount.

To make this review not super long I'll just note out my experience. -Im not a handy man or even great with tools -Install was very easy and straight forward -I mounted a 24"x26"×3/4" piece of plywood (that I spray painted black) on the ceiling, screwing it into the ...ceiling studs? -Using the supplied mounting hardware I mounted the product to the plywood. It's very sturdy too. I weigh 200lbs and feel I could hang on it no problem -I wired it up to an outlet in my attic using a heavy duty extension cord and surge protector (this is probably not to building code but I feel it's safe) -I put an 50" LG TV on the mount, shortly past the foot of my bed. -My room doesn't allow for a good place to put a TV so a ceiling mount was just what we needed. -The motor raises and lowers the TV slowly but it sounds like it's NOT straining the motor which is comforting for longevity. -The remote has 2 presets that you can set to lower and raise to the perfect position everytime Overall I'm very happy with this product. The quality is great and you can't beat the price.

Fairly straightforward to mount and does what it is supposed to for a short period of time. Purchased less than two years ago and installed a little over a year ago. It worked great for about a year. The Mounted TV is less than 40 pounds and probably used on average a few times a week, definitely less than100 cycles up and down. Now it’s stuck in part way down. The external quality seems good, but the motor or controls are absolutely poor. Avoid, do not buy
