I have installed plenty of TV wall mounts and this is the best one yet. The trick to installing any mount is finding something solid to attach it to. A few folks on here have missed that vital step and blame the mount. Sturdy construction, ease of movement that stays where you swing it and easy installation. Make sure its level on the wall and the mount will do the rest. Of coarse the instruction are meant for all languages and cultures so there are few words just images. Study them a bit before you start the work and it will all make sense. That is the way of instructions now so get used to it. My only misgiving is there is no trim to cover bolts on the wall section. But a bit of black paint will hide them. This my first one of this model in this house and would recommend to anyone with simple construction skills. I have other brands and designs and this is the best one yet out of five. Can't emphasize more, must be mounted solidly to wall. All hardware to do that is included. I would recommend this mount. My TV? Older 55" VIZIO.

I purchased a Amazon Warehouse Deal listed as like new. The box it came in looked like it had gone thru a war. How ever the Mount-it 40 inch mount was in perfect condition with all parts. This mount is very strong and has all most no wiggle or wobble when fully extended with my old 55 inch TV. I still need to decide on should I purchase a 65 or 75 inch TV. Now when I get my new TV it will be a simple matter or removing the old tv and moving the 2 brackets from the old TV. Then simply lift the new tv up on to the already mounted long arm wall mount. Should take any longer than 30 minutes. I did not use the Mount-it lag screws or washers. I used 5/16 x 3 inch Spax structural lag screws (w t-40 torx star heads) and 5/16 x 1-1/4 fender washers. I purchsed the Spax screws and washers at Menards. They cost me around $4.25. The reason for using 5/16 inch screws was I needed a TV mount with a longer arm for a larger TV. My old TV mount used 5/16 inch lag screws and I wanted to mount the new mount in the same location using the same holes in the wall studs. The reason for the fender washers was addition strength were the lag screws go thru the Wall mount mounting plate.

This is the dream mount… that I had given up trying to find. Ours is mounted on a side wall and it reaches out with a 60” TV to allow viewing from the kitchen in an open family room, or backs into a deep nook for couch viewing. The hinges are stable, keeping level from furthest in to longest reach. Feels solid; moves well. Easy to install. One small complaint is that of all the various screws, only "F" (from "A" onward) was needed per the instructions; but I suppose better to overkill. Also, for this zig and zag to have full motion you'll need long cables for everything. I ordered new 15ft HDMIs which worked great. Same with power, CAT5, cable, etc. If you are looking for a long arm flexible mount, this is awesome at a very good price.

I used this to mount the 65" Samsung The Frame to our living room wall. It works great; the TV weighs 50 lbs. and this mount allows it to extend the full 40 inches and swivel 180 degrees. Be aware, though, that this mount is heavy and requires six lag screws to attach it to the studs, so you might need some help to install it. I ended up moving a plastic shelf from my garage to the living room so the mount could sit on it while I started on the lag screws; unlike a smaller mount I used for my bedroom, it was much too heavy and cumbersome to hold in place with one hand and turn the lag screws with the other.

Mounted just as easy as any other similar type of mount. It's sturdy with six wood screws anchored into studs. With proper bolt tension, it holds position well and is easy enough to move positions. This is a long extension arm, and I was skeptical it would be able to properly support the weight of a TV over 50" at full extension. I've been proved wrong, as I have mounted a 65" TV weighing roughly 60 pounds on it, and it feels pretty sturdy even when pressing down on it a bit, even extended. My only gripe is that, with the arm extended any more than 50%, it ever-so-slightly sags. This causes the TV to be very slightly crooked when you rotate it to either side of the arm. For example, if you pull the arm out to full extension, then rotate the TV 90 degrees, there will be a very slight, but noticeable tilt. Fortunately, there is a mechanism built into the mount to adjust the "tilt" of the TV, so it's easily remedied, but if you plan to constantly change the direction the TV faces, and it weighs anything over 40-50 pounds, expect to have to constantly fiddle with keeping it level.

I had an old built in entertainment area that was perfect for a 35” tube TV. I could fit a 42” flat panel in it, but sitting 14’ away, it was just too small for reading anything on today’s programs. The wall outside the space had nothing where I could reliably mount a TV. The distance to the back was 26”. Finally, I discovered this wonderous mount. I had found mounts that extended out from the space, but by 3-4” wasn’t enough to cable it. This mount was perfect in depth, but I’ll admit to being a bit apprehensive about the sturdiness with a heavy TV hanging out so far. I ended up mounting it, hanging a 75” 80lb TV off of it, along with a sound bar mount and sound bar. It’s been super stable and solid. I’m very impressed given the price. It wasn’t fun mounting it, but no tv mount is fun. The important thing is it’s solid. I mainly had issues with getting the sound bar mount from a different brand to play nice with this mount and the TV. Similarly, it was no fun locating the studs, which were not 16” apart, but once the holes were drilled, and the mount screwed to the wall, it was fairly quick. One thing to note, I had worried about the comments from some negative reviews about it tilting outward. The instructions omit tightening a screw with the hex wrench on the back. There’s a screw you hand tighten as well, but it’s not enough. Once the other screw is tightened, everything is rock solid. And most importantly, I can get behind it to cable everything, then push it back into place.
