    • Attaching Hardware Not Adequate
Solid construction. Looks good and is sturdy. However, the mounting hardware was not adequate to attach to the wall. I attached one side to a stud, but the other side needed a drywall anchor. The anchors that came with this shelf were not adequate to securely mount it. I had to go to the hardware store and get a better drywall anchor. Once installed, it works great! ... show more

    • Great Idea for a Laundry Room
Bought this to add into my laundry room and installed near the dryer for folding station. Easy to use, but watch the latches when raising and lower for it "bite" my fingers until I figured out where to touch underneath. ;-)

First of all, I'm someone who reads reviews to get an honest opinion on a product. I also appreciate those who share experiences so I can save myself from making the same mistakes. With that being said here are my thoughts on this product... This is a decent small fold-down table for tight spaces. I got it for my garage, and the size works well for my needs. Just be aware this is a very narrow table. It looks bigger in the ad pictures so I've included my own to help others. The table itself comes in three square pieces. Now maybe I missed that detail in the product description because I was expecting one large piece of wood. There are predrilled holes to connect the three pieces together. That's good and bad...good in that it's idiot proof to piece together but bad in that the pieces may not be flush with each other. Again, see the picture for yourself. Next, there are NO predrilled holes on the table for the wall brackets. Part of the appeal for me was the ease of installation so I was willing to pay a little more for this to make installation quicker. Now here's an important detail when mounting the brackets...do NOT place the brackets flush with the pieces connecting the table. I did this and the table would not fold down properly. Mount the brackets with a little space between the two. Hopefully the picture will help clarify this. Overall, this table does the job for my needs. It's not a bad product but a little pricey for what you get. In hindsight I would have probably bought collapsible brackets and a piece of wood instead of this product. We use this as an extra work space in home office and it serves its purpous beautifully the only down fall is having to be careful of the placement of the supports they must be on the studs if they are not it pulls away from the wall because of howsturdy it is built.

    • Buy your own wall anchors!
First, the product itself seems like it’s going to work well. Will update if there are any issues. The shelves have pre-installed grommets to join them together that makes them sturdy. The first problem was that there are no pre-drilled holes for the brackets so you have to be very careful about placement. I would suggest pre-drilling by the manufacturer to assure proper alignment. Next, the placement of the screw holes makes it difficult to attach the screws due to the mechanism. Finally, the wall anchors are completely ineffective. The first one I installed immediately started to pull out. Fortunately I had heavy duty anchors on hand. I do recommend this shelf, but be prepared for some extra and unnecessary work to install. ... show more

So far, so good. Tons of screws and you’ll likely need 2 people to attach it to the wall. The screws closest to the bottom of the table, when you’re attaching it to the wall, are quite close to the piece of metal there. Those were a PAIN to get but I managed with my longest screw driver. Also, I’ve never once used the wall anchors that come with stuff from amazon and this was no exception. The anchors I get from Home Depot have never let me down. The only problem my husband had with this during installation was the hardware that was provided. He had to run out to buy longer drywall screws that could hold the weight of the folding table. The ones provided failed immediately.
