Fairly easy to install. The latching mechanism works great. The mount swings down and swivels side to side. There is a tension adjustment for the upward tilt that allows the TV to stay in place. It took a bit to get installed, had to run to hardware store for shorter screws that would not penetrate floor of cabinet. After that it went smoothly. The most important part is that it is sturdy and seems to secure the TV very well. It is easy to adjust the mounting to put where it is needed.

Installed in a semi truck. Holds the TV fine but while driving the cam based retainer will release and the TV will hang. Also tighten all the screws on the unit once installed

    • Surprisingly simple, sturdy and effective.

This took about a half to install including adding a couple 2x4s to mount it too. The little turnbuckle(?$ had to be loosened up a smidge to allow it to lock out of place and release easily but no issue. And then I had to tighten the swing arm’s hinge to get the TV to stay 90 degrees vertical, but very simple to do and explained in the directions. If you have a space where want a tv like a workout area but it’s a shared purpose space, this is a great option to have a tv when you want it, and tuck it away when you don’t. ... show more

I bought the MI-4211 for an under kitchen cabinet TV. It’s fully adjustable in every regard and made with quality materials. I also found a way around the limited side to side swivel ( just remove the two bolts from the swivel restrictor plate portion) and voila! it spins a full 360 degrees. Although you are limited by cables attached to the TV. But now I can spin it for full viewing from anywhere in the kitchen. I love mine I should note that it did not come with suitable length wood screws for mounting it under my cabinet, but if you can’t find 4 wood screws in the junk drawer or out in the garage then you’re going to the local hardware store. ... show more

    • Mount-It! MI-4211 Latch Just Does Work Reliably

Update: 1/31/2021: This (Mount-It! MI-4211) has been installed on my boat for quite a while now and it works perfectly. Really nice for my application and my wife likes it too. I spoke with the manufacturer about why it did not work when testing it just holding it in my hand. They said that they have had other such instances of testing failures when not fully mounted and would try to document the issue and solution for future customers. Manufacturer responses were rapid, honest, and helpful. I have asked them to help me with one-off solutions in the past and they have. It restored my faith in Mount-It products which I have a few. Works good. Update: I installed this despite the problems with the latching mechanism because I needed it to work. Don't know why, but after install it is working much better. maybe because it is bolted in. Works most of the time to an acceptable level of reliability. I am changing my rating from 1 to 3 stars and am not returning it.. I have a number of mounts from Mount-It and they are excellent. This one (Mount-It! MI-4211) gets an "F" for engineering design. The latch is a gravity type mechanism with a very low catch ledge that means that it will not lock reliably and will not stay up once locked. It will only lock up if you try it a bunch of times. Unlocking, strangely seems to work reliably. Because I like its dimensions for my boat overhead, I am going to see if I can MAKE this work and will call the manufacturer but I don't think I can use this thus far. Plus, my wife won't like it if its not easy. Sturdy: yes Adjustable: yes Will Easily Stay in Locked Up Position: nope ... show more
