I have a Dell laptop in a docking station plus 2x 20" monitors, keyboard and mouse and a cell phone cradle on this thing with no problems. Sturdy, and well built. I had an accident a few months ago that left me crippled with a damaged L3-L4 and L4-L5 and limited use of my left leg. I stand at my desk all day long and this thing has been an absolute godsend. When placed in a corner, plan on it taking up an area 48" x 48" square and diagonally 48" from the tip of the corner to you as you're standing in front of it when it's fully up. It does move back into the corner a few inches as it is lowered and forward away from the corner up to 10" as it is raised. If you have trouble lifting you may need a hand putting it together. The box itself was about 60lbs, so you might also need a hand moving it around once it's delivered. ... show more

    • Setting up was a breeze!
8 day delivery and arrived safe and sound through UPS. Unboxing took one minute; three large pieces and a couple screw/feet plasic bags. Setup: about 5 mins using a drill/phillips bit. Completed in about 10 minutes and back at work. Great product and value. Highly recommended!

Great quality! I’m a small female and have no trouble moving this desk up and down. I have two 22 inch monitors and there is plenty of room. Was planning on buying a Veridesk but the extra $300 for the same size desk was hard to justify. Highly recommend. Only negative is the lower desk for the keyboard is too high for me when I’m sitting down. I keep the keyboard on my desk and only use the lower shelf when I stand. Be sure to consider that if the desk that this sits on is already somewhat tall. ... show more

This product is a competitor to Varidesk. At my office and for my other home office PC, we have a Varidesk system. I decided to buy this unit to fit in the corner of my home office. It was $3000 cheaper than Varidesk and the reviews seemed to all be good. Here is the problem: the keyboard tray does not fit flush on the desk as the Varidesk system does. Thus, when in the seated position, typing is very awkward and not what you are used to. Standing, it works just fine. The construction quality and the materials all seem to be of good quality. But beware: this is not as good as the Varidesk system. It is a cheaper alternative and it is obvious. If I had to do it all over again, I would've bought the Varidesk corner unit instead. ... show more

    • This desk would be perfect if I just wanted it to stay in one ...
I purchased a VARIDESK for my boss and thought I would save some money by ordering this one based on the reviews and price. I don't mind saving money by having to put it together since I have all of the necessary tools. This desk would be perfect if I just wanted it to stay in one position or a couple of high positions for standing. It is very difficult to lift up and to start pushing down and it slides while doing this. I sent an email to the company explaining my difficulties and got a response that said "Thank you for contacting Value Max, we are sorry to hear you are having issues with item MI-7958. Have you check the gas control cable? make sure is making good pressure with the connection, if it is loose when you push the lever is not creating enough pressure so it does not let you lift in the correct way." I just ordered two more VARIDESKs and will put this as a stationary standing desk in one location for everyone to use. There is a possibility that the gas springs are defective, but with the poor customer service that I received and no phone number to call, I will not order these again. ... show more

I ordered this for my cubicle desk at work. It fits the corner perfectly. Very easy to assemble with clear instructions. I'm using it with two sets of two arms and have 4ea 24 inch LED displays mounted on it. It is very stable and doesn't appear top heavy even when fully extended. With this much weight on it, it can be a little cumbersome to extend but does so very smoothly with no jerking movements at all. There are plenty of positions to lock it in place.     • Doesn't come assembled as advertised
It was advertised as being fully assembled, which wasn't the case. I took about an hour to assemble. For that reason, I gave it 4 stars. The unit was purchased for a person at work, and they love the ease of raising and lowering of the unit, and the corner setup.
