I bought this to replace one from another manufacturer. I get tired of feeding the wild hogs instead of the deer and this feeder from Moultrie is just right. Even small deer can access the corn but pigs and raccoons cannot. Gravity feeders use a lot more corn than the timer feeders, but it sure keeps the animals coming back. I like the feeder because it was easy for me to assemble and put up, what I found is that I need to add leg extensions as the raccoons are able to stand up and get corn out of gravity feed and also need a way to secure it down as you see in the photo I have bears to contend with. So I lost the band that secures the gravity feeder in place. I just contacted Moultrie hopefully they send me one. ... show more

Easy setup and easy to use. Keeps the feed dry. Even on humid days there isn’t in moisture build up inside. Unluckily I haven’t had any deer come to it yet. My homemade PVC ones were attacked daily last year. Though, we’ve had a very wet summer so they probably will start hitting it once their food starts dying off come fall. ... show more

Took about week and half before they tried it. It’s a little weak on the barrel part so don’t try moving with feed in it. Good deal for about $100. Not worth much more.

Bought this to use as a chicken feeder. Left bottom leg portion off and it’s the perfect height. Much less food waste. Great when we go away for a few days. Feeds 75 chickens for 4-5 days when filled with layer pellets. And if all the chicken get gone I have a deer feeder.

In a perfect world this would be a great feeder. I got it so there wouldn't be a surplus of corn from the spin feeder on the ground to invite feral hogs. BUT, the feeder spout of this gravity fed is just the right height for coons to nearly empty the hopper overnight. I guess the battery-operated spin feeder is the best way to go. Sadly disappointed. It's just a fact of life though......UPDATE, I only set it up one time. I decided to box it up and sell it next season only to find that it was broken for no apparent reason. It has just been standing in the yard, did not fall over, I have no idea how it got broken. Inferior?? ... show more
