The monitor's screen kept freezing, so we were never able to properly watch our baby because the image was constantly broken. The Motorola Nursery app did not work well; we couldn’t monitor our baby from our iPhone as the connection was unreliable and didn’t work 24/7. I had to repeatedly reset the app and the camera. I’m not sure if my unit was defective from the factory, but our experience with the Motorola Nursery Monitor was very disappointing. It works great for monitoring my dog when I have to leave him crated in my apartment. My neighbor recently complained that he was barking too much while I was gone. So now all I have to do is plug in the camera and go. When I get a sound alert I look at the app and can see my dog and I can push a microphone and tell him to stop barking. And he does it's wonderful. And the price is right. My daughter and son-in-law also own one and they have had it for a year and they highly recommended as well they have not had any problems with it. They use it to monitor puppies as well.

The picture quality is one of the poorer quality pictures when compared to other motorola baby monitors. We'd been using it less than a week and all of the sudden the camera went out and the monitor only showed a red camera picture with a line thru it. No matter all of our attempts to reset the monitor and re-pair the camera it didn't work. The pairing light on the camera stays on permanently now when plugged in, so no matter what you try to do, you cannot reset the pairing to attempt to try ro resolve the issue. I've seen this happen to others in these reviews. Transitioning the baby out of a bassinet to a nursery crib can take time. We installed this in the nursery and starting using it for baby's daytime naps, which were a few hours at a time max. By the time our baby was in the nursery full time, we'd only used if for overnight sleep twice and then while adjusting the monitor one day, it just totally stopped working. So... by the time we really needed it to work, the return period on the device was over... so no returns for the faulty equipment. Tbh, this is cheap garbage and I should have know given the price point. I was unsatisfied with the bad picture quality even when it was installed and working for those first few days, so it would not have been a good solution in the long run. Disappointing but not shocking.

Really happy with this Motorola baby monitor! One of my favorite things is how flexible it is with where you can put it. Whether you’re able to drill holes in the wall or just want to use the stand, it’s got both options. I love that I can set it up in small spaces without having to mess with tools, but if I want to mount it, that’s easy too. The camera itself is awesome—you can pan, tilt, and zoom without even going into the room, which is a huge plus. I also love that I can check in on my baby girl using either the handheld screen or my phone, so I’m able to move around the house and still see everything. The screen is nice and big, and it even has a stand, which is perfect for when I don’t feel like using the app. The night vision is super clear, and the 2-way audio lets me talk to my baby right through the monitor. It even plays lullabies, which is such a sweet feature! The range is really solid (up to 1000ft!), and I love that it shows the room temperature and has so many extra features. If you’re looking for a monitor that’s easy to set up and packed with features, I definitely recommend this one!
