    • No Drop, No Damage… Just a Broken Screen Worst Phone Experience I’ve Ever Had
I bought this phone in September, and by February the screen completely failed — without the phone ever falling or being damaged. One morning I woke up, picked it up from my nightstand to check the time, and suddenly there was a dark line across the screen. As the day went on, that line kept spreading until the entire display stopped working. This was extremely frustrating because the phone is still very new and was always handled carefully. A device should last much longer than a few months, especially without any accident or drop. What made the situation even worse was dealing with the insurance. The process was stressful, slow, and honestly unbearable. Instead of getting quick help for a clear hardware failure, it felt like a long fight just to be heard. Final opinion: I would not recommend buying this phone. A smartphone should be reliable, durable, and supported by responsive insurance or warranty service.     • Excellent Condition is More Like Good Condition, That's Okay!
Overall, the phone came in "good" condition. For "Excellent" condition quality, I wouldn't say it was "Excellent," but it is fine because I have a case over it, so it's not too much of an issue for me. Some things to note on the quality of the phone's condition. - Has a preinstalled screen protector - It was heavily scratched, but it can't be seen when interacting with the phone, only when it is off. - Chips and paint off around the hinge are very small, but can be seen - The leather on the phone was worn out and rubbed out on the sides, where you would technically hold the phone - One small scratch on the front screen (this one wasn't too bad) Honestly, for the price, though I'm not too mad, I got this phone and a nice case for under $300 after taxes, which is a steal. Granted, it's a 2024, but it works just like new with little to no lag. A lot of the cosmetics are hidden by the case I got in the same color, so it's not a huge issue, but I did take a star off due to all the markings for an "excellent" condition phone. The phone was wiped, came with a charging USBC to USBC for the phone, and one of those little pin-opening keys to insert your SIM card. Mine was, in fact, unlocked! It was an unlocked T-Mobile version (that's what the packaging said). The phone is intuitive and boots up quickly. Very low battery, so I've had it charging most of the day. I think this is more of a phone problem, but it takes 2-4 hrs for the phone to fully charge. I don't think this phone has fast charging as we see with the Samsungs and IPhones. Again, not too picky on this as I got it for a low price. The front screen is extremely convenient; you can literally do anything you need on the front screen alone. I have found that due to the small real estate, I do have to open my phone if I'm going to type long messages. However, if it's something short, I don't mind using the front screen and really love it because while I'm at work, it looks inconspicuous for the most part. I love the short form factor of the phone, and it's super compact. It fits with my personal phone in my purse, and it's perfect. Very light in terms of weight. Being able to control my music from the front screen is a game-changer as music is my life, and I have music on ALL the time, even if through earbuds. The finger sensor works better than my Samsung when unlocking the phone, and it's quick to open and do what I need it to do. The camera shows everything. This is a good thing, but when I say everything, I mean every wrinkle, crevice, and blackhead. I was shocked at the camera quality on this thing. My Samsung is a bit better, but this is a close second. I would feel confident using this camera for quick photos and vlogging for sure. With the Motorola UI it is very user intuitive, and I would say this would be a great phone for anyone just getting into Android, its a super easy interface. The customization options through the UI are a bit bland, but you can spice things up with the Google Play Store to make the phone uniquely yours. I spent about an hr doing this, and really happy with my phone now in terms of the aesthetic. I don't like that there isn't a Motorola store app where you can buy or get new fonts and backgrounds to further customize, but that's a Motorola thing. Guess I'm a bit spoiled with Samsung haha. Overall, the phone is super cute. I got it in pink, and I am loving it so far. The compactness of it is my favorite thing. It's just a nice piece of tech and still works well for 2024. I'm overall very happy with my purchase, and with the case, it is perfect! I hope this helped someone in terms of whether or not they should get it. Finally, I have the Motorola again! Back in the 2010s my hot pink Motorola flip phone was my whole personality. I've missed it ever since. It was tough switching from Apple to Android, and I had to get off the Xfinity phone service because they are mysteriously not compatible with this phone but it's completely worth it! ... show more

    • Cute phone, stuck on T-Mobile for esims
The phone itself was nice. I thought the flip feature worked fairly well and the bend wasn't that noticeable. The color was bright, but I liked it. I did feel the top of the exterior (the external screen) got covered in finger prints quickly. Easy to set up and decent camera settings. However, this particular phone remained stuck on T-Mobile even though it was "unlocked". I was unable to add an esim to it and when I called T-mobile, per the phone's instructions, they suggested just returning the phone since their systems showed it at unlocked. I tried updating it to the most recent security settings plus Android 15 (a 3+ hour process) and it did nothing. If you are on T-Mobile, or maybe if you have a physical Sim, it'll work. But no love for esims with this phone. Splitting the 1* for description with the 4* for the phone, but if you want a truly unlocked phone, this isn't it. ... show more
