Phone is defective. I plugged in AC adapter AND the five (5) required AAA batteries (allegedly for backup power) , but the date/time on digital display continually resets, and gives message, "replace battery." This after replacing batteries twice. In addition, there is no volume control option for the handset. You're stuck with the default volume, which is quite loud. Would not recommend. ... show more

Just in the first few days of using this phone in a business setting I have noticed 2 rather annoying features. First of all, if you receive a phone call while on the line already the volume of your call sky rockets to a deafening level. Secondly, and much more annoying, is that when you place someone on hold the phone emits an extremely annoying sound every few seconds and I've scoured the users manual there is no way to turn it off or even lengthen the time. ... show more

Seems to be a nice phone and works well. It’s on the small side and a pain to read the little writing for the buttons. The amber lcd color is not the easiest thing to see in dim lighting.

This phone replaced a well-beloved office phone that after 25 years finally "gave up the ghost." The Motorola is as advertised. The extension after a while starts to echo and feedback if on speaker.
