I purchased a second one of these monitors when my youngest was born after owning one for two years. Unfortunately, it seems like both the camera and audio have been updated in the last two years and are much lower quality than previous. The picture quality is not very clear or crisp so it is much harder to make out details. Additionally, and more importantly, the audio seems to be much worse. The new version would not pick up my daughters quiet cries which were quite clear on the previous version. Probably fine if you want this for a toddler, but not very reliable to monitor a newborn. ... show more

    • Smart features not so smart

Very annoyed with this camera system. Here are some of the little issues: Entire screen is touch screen. Sounds like a good thing until you realize any time you touch the screen accidentally, the camera in the baby room will move accordingly. The kickstand is pitiful. It was already weak, and when my baby played with it once or twice, it became completely unusable and I have to place it in a cell phone holder to keep it up. It has a smart audio system (?) where the sound will die down completely if it detects nothing, and then pick up when it senses sound again. Can be annoying if there are any other outside noises, as it keeps going from low to high. When you turn it on, the “Motorola nursery” screen takes like a whole minute to go away and show you the camera. Previous system was not like this, and I find this irritating. Newest and most annoying problem: as of a few nights ago, the system loses connection with the camera at 12:20 am and starts beeping loudly to let you know, until you turn it off and on. It’s completely bizarre, I cannot explain why this happens AT THE SAME TIME EACH NIGHT but it’s super annoying and not ideal for when I’m finally asleep to be given an unnecessary wake up call 😣 searching for a new monitor today. ... show more

    • Can’t zoom out

Great and practical but at 3 feet away the video picture is practically zoomed in to the face (and that’s on the most zoomed out setting). So to get whole bed, camera needs to be 5-6feet away, up on a mount on wall. Fine for now since baby is sawadled but will need to remount when baby moves in crib

We were looking to purchase the same monitor that we got for our first babies in 2019. We loved that one but it pooped out on us at the 3 year mark. This is NOT IT. The image quality is terrible and the power chord that comes with the camera is even shorter now ???? And they changed the input so forget trying to use your old cord. Motorola, this is a mess. We were excited about this monitor, we thought we were upgrading from another brand and I wish I kept the old one. Unfortunately we didn’t take it out of the box and mount it until after the return window (because life) because I would have sent this back immediately. The picture is so blurry, it flashes lights while in use, the picture and sound are significantly delayed, the battery dies quickly, and it’s big/inconvenient to carry around the video screen. I wish I could return it, moms/dads look elsewhere, definitely not a great product. ... show more
