Description

The MotorGuide Xi5-105SW 72-Inch 36V Wireless Trolling Motor comes with a wireless control that lets you precisely operate the motor from anywhere on the boat. Plus, this saltwater motor features Pinpoint® GPS to help you achieve your greatest fishing success every time out. This Xi5 Wireless Saltwater model has composite shaft material and a 3-blade Machete III Glass- Filled propeller, wireless hand-held controller, digital variable speed controls, forward motor direction, battery meter, and foot-pedal wireless remote is available as an accessory. The wireless control is a standard feature of the Xi5 – not the expensive add-on it is for many competitive motors – so you can fish from anywhere on the boat using the convenient wireless remote. The Xi5 features an easy-to-read LED dashboard that lets you quickly check the status of key functions in any light conditions, including: Power ON/System Ready; Propeller ON; Pinpoint GPS System Active; and three levels of battery life. The Pinpoint® GPS is the industry’s most accurate GPS, and it provides 3 times the precision control and a tighter hold on your anchor point. Teaming it with versatile Lowrance® displays (sold separately) makes it easy to maximize Pinpoint® GPS control and functionality to create new fishing strategies. This motor also features sophisticated steering transmission with ball bearings that reduce friction and wear, custom seals that keep water and dust out, and an extra-rigid shaft support tube, to deliver dependable, quiet, precise performance. And the high-efficiency electronics are fully protected. They are fully encapsulated in a high-tech coating, making them impervious to water and dust. There's also a protection circuit that prevents lower unit damage if the prop is stalled. The Xi5 uses an improved, low-profile mount. The base uses corrosion-resistant anodized aluminum and the hardware components are stainless steel throughout, including the durable linkage. The unique stow and deploy mechanism aligns and guides the motor into the stowed position and secures it in place. For added safety, a secondary lock prevents unintentional deployment and potential damage. The new composite shaft is so capable of managing any obstructions – it will bend but won't break – that it is backed by a lifetime warranty. This Xi5-105SW 72-Inch 36V Wireless Trolling Motor delivers 105 pounds of peak thrust and has a 72-inch-long composite shaft with a 3-blade Machete III Glass-Filled propeller. This 36-volt motor has a maximum draw of 41 amps. MotorGuide has been dedicated to engineering and manufacturing innovative trolling motors and accessories for over 50 years. Proudly setting the standard for the most accurate Pinpoint® GPS system and quietest motors, MotorGuide provides anglers with precise propulsion for superior boat control.

Model Name: 105-Pound Peak Thrust, w/ GPS Configuration: 72-inch Shaft
I have a 20' Cobia with T -Top. I say that to say this... I have always read :"find out what you need, and get one size up" The Xi5 110lb thrust.. Moves this boat around with ease. The 72 inch shaft allows me to hold anchor in rough seas. I have had ZERO issues with this thus far.

  • Game changer
Model Name: 105-Pound Peak Thrust, w/ GPS Configuration: 72-inch Shaft
Absolute game changer for us. We fish inshore (southern NJ) for fluke, seabass, tautog, sheepshead etc... and fishing any bottom structure or wreck will never be the same. 23" maycraft center console

  • very misleading very cheap will not buy again.
Model Name: 105-Pound Peak Thrust, w/ GPS Configuration: 72-inch Shaft
This was the most poorly thing put together I have ever seen. The arms that control the rod to go down in the water would not stay on due to poorly and cheap washer were used. After putting new washer on I could not get the thing to work. I made several calls to tech they walk me through it but no help. I want my money back . This product should never have been sold poor quality , poorly put together. Will never buy again. The reason it failed apart is the person who put it together used push nuts and not axle hat push nut which very poor choice . ... show more

  • Lose gps connection more than expected
Model Name: 105-Pound Peak Thrust, w/ GPS Configuration: 72-inch Shaft
Delivered on time. Had motor installed by TriState Trolling Motor. Linked to Hds live. Motor trips breaker when running at 80%. Loses connectivity to gps satellites more than expected while on lakes in Missouri. Hoping it holds anchor when inshore/ offshore. May wish I had wIted till October.

  • Fell apart on first use. Starlock washers came off
Model Name: 105-Pound Peak Thrust, w/ GPS Configuration: 72-inch Shaft
The trolling motor locking mechanism fell apart after using it for a few hours. I had to take it off my boat and buy new starlock washers. This design doesn’t seem good enough for a two thousand dollar trolling motor.

  • Terrible quality, multiple severe problems under 5 hours of usage
Model Name: 105-Pound Peak Thrust, w/ GPS Configuration: 72-inch Shaft
Right away after installing the pins holding the stow and deploy levers together came apart and i had to go buy stainless bolts to replace just to try trolling motor out. Initially functioned great for 1 afternoon of fishing. The next time i took it out a week later it worked fine for about 20 minutes then started vibrating terribly and motor shut off. Took prop off to verify it wasn't something simple like fishing line or weeds and the prop shaft shocked the piss out of me. Something shorted inside motor bleeding voltage to the main shaft. Returning and going to try a minn kota ... show more

  • Anchor Lock - doesn't work
Model Name: 105-Pound Peak Thrust, w/ GPS Configuration: 72-inch Shaft
Bought this in April 2019 to replace the 60" Motorguide 105lbs thrust version that went through Hurricane Michael. The 190 mph winds pushed rain into the water tight seals and rusted out the board. Installed it this winter and took it out to test this weekend. Everything works fine except for the Anchor Lock feature. It will acknowledge the lock, spin around trying to find its' bearings, and then release. Tried everything. So now, I'm calling Motorguide for a resolution. I have been on hold for 65 minutes. I'm also not happy with the the inability of the Motorguide to integrate with Garmin chart plotters. This will be my last Motorguide. ... show more
