The MotorGuide Xi3-55FW 48-Inch Wireless Trolling Motor comes with a wireless control that lets you precisely operate the motor from anywhere on the boat. Plus, this freshwater motor is quiet, easy to use, and responsive to help you achieve your greatest fishing success every time out on the water. The wireless control is a standard feature of the Xi3 – not the expensive add-on it is for many competitive motors – so you can fish from anywhere on the boat using the convenient hand-held remote. The Xi3 features an easy-to-read LED dashboard that lets you quickly check the status of key functions in any light conditions, including Power ON/System Ready, Propeller ON, and three levels of battery life. This motor also provides best-in-class quiet operation that’s up to 40 percent quieter than the leading competitor. The SecureStep system makes stowing and deploying the Xi3 safe and easy. Releasing the motor from its locked position and raising it to stow-and-go takes just a single step on the release lever from a comfortable standing position. This Xi3-55SW 48-Inch Wireless Trolling Motor delivers 55 pounds of peak thrust and has a 48-inch- long composite shaft with a 3-blade Machete propeller. I purchased an Xi3 one month ago. Going down the lake it decided to deploy breaking the shaft. Motorguide told me to go to a servicing dealer and gave me a list of dealers. NONE of them even sell thee motors let alone service them. I finally got an email from Motorguide saying it was my fault and I'm out of luck...$1000 gone with 3 uses of the motor. Never again. Don't buy their junk!! ... show more

Motor itself is great. If you want all features available, anchor lock and cruise for example, better get the model with the gps factory installed. Mine has been on backorder since May. Happy fishing!

This is a great product BUT this one does not and cannot have built in Sonar added. It can only have the GPS function added. Since it doesn’t have built in Sonar you have to externally mount your transducer which is difficult on these models. I wanted a minn kota, but i wont pay for the name. Bought this motor and hasnt let me down. Plenty of thrust to pull my 16 LUND while we troll. Yes, I troll with it, and use my big motor as the rudder. NO COMPLAINTS!

Ordered this motor which I wanted a xi3 with gps but they need to explain that the GPS does not come with it for another 400 or so dollars you can buy it and put it on so just take the gps out of the name so it doesn't confuse people who think they are ordering one with gps
