Bought while boat was in the shop. Unboxed trolling motor Friday, installed on boat Saturday, took it on the lake Sunday very noisy sounds like it's grinding as it turns especially at low speed. Was loose magnet in head, warranty took care of issue promptly.

The description states it has gps anchor. After arriving it is the non gps model. Also looks like I’m not the only one there is another review stating the same thing. I guess I should be better at reading reviews before purchasing. 100% do not recommend if you are looking for the gps equipped model.

    • Plenty of power at your fingertips. It has 20 separate forward speeds.
I used this trolling motor on the bow of my 17 ft. Bass tracker johnboat. It eliminates foot fatigue while using a typical foot controlled motor. I previously had a Minn Kota 55 ft. Lb. thrust / 12 volt trolling motor and it labored pulling my boat after about an hour of operation. This 70 lb / 24 volt works great with endless power and doesn’t drain the batteries fast like the old motor. The hand held remote is awesome. ... show more

    • Buyer Beware. When it works, it works. When something goes wrong (it will) it's a nightmare.
Not a frequent review writer but thought I'd log on and offer some assistance to anyone considering a motorguide product. I've owned an Xi3 for around 6 months and started experiencing issues with the remote (went though all simple and mid-level troubleshooting). I thought "no problem, I'm still well under warranty, I'll give them a call". A person does pick up, but they have no interest in assisting you. They only will refer you to a service center. I called the service center that they sent me to (semi-local bass pro), they are in fact not a Motorguide service center, and have no idea why I would be referred to them. Turns out there are only 2 service centers in my state, both hours away. My issue remains unresolved, not sure where to turn. The motor works as advertised, but you are bound to have an issue sooner or later. When you do, you will be completely on your own. Is the superior parts/service network from MinnKota worth the few extra dollars? Hard to say. But I can say it can't get worse than Motorguide. ... show more
