For the price, these are hard to beat. They came well-packaged along with some soft ties to pass around forks or handlebars so the hooks aren't touching anything they could scratch. As a nice touch, the package also contained some velcro-type ties to keep the excess loose ends under control, and a drawstring bag to stuff everything in. The reason I chose these was the price and the fact they have latches on the hooks - so if the motorcycle (or whatever you are hauling) gets bounced in transit, it's not possible for a hook to detach from either the bike or the tie-down eye. These ratchet-type straps are harder to use than cam ones, but easier to get tight, harder to come loose accidentally, and arguably more versatile. The metal hardware is heavily constructed and looks to be well made. I have seen heavier-duty, stronger-looking webbing but these are polyester (the best material IMO) not polypropylene so should hold up to UV exposure, are rated plenty strong enough, and should be fine for the sort of usage I have in mind. Hard to beat for the money. I have other straps but they don't have the hook latches. I'm about to ship several motorcycles and will be buying another set of these on the basis it's better to have more than I need, than need more and not have them.

I had a bit of issues with receiving this product, but for an all in one kit for motorcycle tie down. It was perfect. Should last for years to come. Love the bright colors as well

I received two sets of similar ratchet tie down straps with similar breaking strengths. The VEXFLEX and STARLEAPARTS. The strap kits are shown in the attached photo. Both kits were similar in breaking strength, have 4 ratchet straps with retainer hooks, and 4 soft loops. The STARLEAPARTS straps are made in China but appear to be of good quality. The box includes instructions and documentation. The stated working load is 700-lbs which equates to 1/3 the breaking strength. The ratchet straps are 15-feet in length. And, the ratchet handles are longer for better leverage. Additional accessories not found in the VEXFLEX box were two bungee cords, 4 velcro straps, and a storage bag. The VEXFLEX 'claims' to be made in the USA. However, I couldn't find any information that would support this claim. Very little is available referencing this brand on the internet. The closest links I could find was on various international sales sites and included only the three products...these straps, one kind of work gloves, and one kind of safety glasses. I searched the US trademark registration and 'VEXFLEX' was recently registered with the same logo as on the straps and box. While I cannot definitively dispute the 'Made in the USA' claim I cannot verify it either...but I was hit with the strong chemical smell of a Harbor Freight store when I opened the box which peaked my suspicion. I don't care if they are made somewhere else as long as they are honest about it. Other Items of note on VEXFLEX, there is no working load limit is stated. Normal working load limit is 1/3 the breaking strength (2000-lbs) which would put it a around 666 lbs. The straps are 12-feet in length. And the ratchet handles are shorter than the STARLEAPARTS. I could recommend either set of straps give an appropriate price point. However, the VEXFLEX is being sold at a 28% premium over the STARLEAPARTS straps. Of these two sets of straps I recommend the STARLEAPARTS strap set.

Bought two sets to tie down my gazebo on my deck and for general hauling. The camouflage color matches my gazebo. They are strong, well made and easy to use. I dressed the extra length using short thin Velcro strips to tidy their appearance. This investment will save me the cost of buying a new expensive gazebo when impacted by strong winds and heavy rain.
