I've been using MotoRad tstats in my vehicles for several years, but this one failed closed just 3 months after installation, causing the car to overheat. In another vehicle, I installed MotoRad 7426-190 Failsafe 20 months ago, and it also failed closed 2 days ago causing my truck to overheat while towing a 40ft trailer. Great quality thermostat at great price, works great, old thermostat on my 2007 Ram hemi the rubber separated on the center of thermostat and was letting antifreeze leak thru therefore the check engine light comes on for bad thermostat. This new thermostat took care of that and no more engine light.

    • Built well, came with gasket
This came with the needed o'ring gasket and it is heavy duty. I tested in a pan of water on the stove with a meat thermometer and this opened reliably at the advertised temp over and over again. Been working great ever since.

    • Second Failure in ~8 months - Dodge Challenger
The media could not be loaded. SRT 392 Dodge Challenger. This is the second 192° motorad thermostat I’ve put in my challenger within 8 months. Both failed closed. See the attached video. The last one failed within 8 months. This one failed within 5 weeks.
