Love this kit. I was able to tube feed a newly hatched pigeon as well as hand feed adult, ill birds. Works beautifully and comes apart for easy cleaning. The threaded bits do tend to come loose, but I simply make sure everything is secure before use. Also make sure to use commercial or very finely ground formula. A couple of reviews stated that the tube popped off during feeding. This will happen if a bit of feed gets stuck somewhere on the way out and will happen with any kind of proper set up. I actually received the product a few hours after I needed it, and I'm sure it works great but personally I found the somewhat sharp edges on the ends of the feeding tubes could possibly be harmful to the soft inner throat/crop of a bird. That being said, I'd recommend checking the product, and if you find the edges of the insertable part are a bit on the sharp side just gently file them down with an emery board or some type of small grit sandpaper (if you're extra cautious as I am) and wash it out really well. ... show more
